it's nice and quit what you get away for. close enough to town if you need to go there for anything. it's an older place being remodeled as they can do it but it is now clean and quiet. management are the nicest people you want to meet at a place at a lake that we have been to. they will go out of their way to help what ever you need while you are there.
We recently stayed at Hummingbird Hideaway and were very disappointed. We stayed in units 1 through 5. Unit 1-3 was one building with no AC in one of the living rooms and one of the bedrooms. The remaining AC units were EXTREMELY LOUD - very difficult to sleep. Furniture was a joke as were the "kitchens" which were just a metal cabinet with a sink/counter in a corner of the living room. No AC in the living room of unit 5. I believe it had one, but was not working. The units were close together - no seclusion at all. The boat dock is at least a 1/4 mile away from the resort. No view of the lake, you wouldn't even know there was a lake unless you drove down the road to it. I felt like the units were run down and in disrepair. Very dim lighting inside - no place to have a family meal. The pool was the only thing that I have no complaints about - it was large and clean. The hosts were very nice - too bad the resort isn't as nice as they were.
