Willow Valley Resort, Vilas

I've written plenty of reviews for Yahoo, and none have been negative. This one will be the closest to negative that I will have written. Where to begin... We stayed in a Chalet-style unit (which is actually a four-plex) on the upper level. Our unit had no fireplace, but it did have a full kitchen. The place is decorated in a 80's motif and has not been updated. The overall feel is of a rental home owned by a competent absentee landlord: No attention to style or detail, but everything in working order. I understand that the log cabins are similar but the mentality is different for such- Log cabins are not supposed to be high-falutin'! Funny the dichotomy, huh? We did not use the pool, so I can't help ya there, BUT we did play the little short golf course. FUN FUN FUN! What a great little track. A wonderful place for your short-hitting child, AND it was in good condition. Too bad they did'nt spend the golf course money on the room! Calling Willow Valley a Resort is tantamount to calling First Baptist Church of Mayberry a Cathedral, so don't be fooled. Average. No better. No worse.
