Plan to go back every year!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/6/11
We had a two bedroom unit. We loved every minute of our stay. It's at the very top Sugar Mt. so in the snowy weather you should have 4-wheel drive to get up at there at night. But it's within Sugar Mt Ski resort property so very close if you plan to ski. Our young children loved the extra large jacuzzi tub calling it a swimming pool. The staff was friendly and helpful, they have games at the front desk to check out and even crayons and coloring pages for the little ones. Even brought us a highchair for my one year old. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with the family this is the place for you.

Our first visit to Highlands 2009
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/9/09
We loved our stay. Yes, the property is old like so many timeshares but what the assoc. has done to upgrade is good. Kitchen supplied well for a woman who cooks. The bed slept well and the living room furniture was good. The little balcony is a must however. We could not have enjoyed our stay without a balcony. A few of the units are "caves" with no natural light and no windows to open..avoid those unless you are there only for winter sports. Our trip was this week - first week of June. We will try to return next year - if we can be in a unit with the balcony.

Don't Look Forward to the Jacuzzi!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/06
My fiance and I ended up staying here because we got a deal on another site for four nights at $200. We looked at the pictures of the rooms beforehand and while the decor looked a bit outdated, we were excited about having a kitchen/living room and a private jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. (The jacuzzi tub was one of our bigger reasons for choosing this location.) The rooms were well kept. (We stayed in a single suite.) The jacuzzi was huge and I was happy as could be until we actually ran the water for the jacuzzi. I read a review that mentioned that the water was brown, and that was back in October 2005. Apparently that problem hadn't been fixed. The cold water was fine, but the hot water was definitely brownish and cloudy and I wasn't about to soak in the tub when the water was that color. I couldn't take a long or really hot shower because I knew the water wasn't the cleanest. Also, we had people above us and it sounded like they were stomping around everytime they walked across the floor. They could have been heavy walkers and probably were, but the floors seemed ridiculously thin since we could basically track their every move through their suite. If you're a light sleeper, the single suites probably won't work because I think they're all located on the bottom floors. No comments on the skiing since we were up in May and weren't there for any of the mountain activities. Even though it was a good deal, I wouldn't go back.

Great family time.
By Chris Swarthout, 12/28/05
My family (wife and 2 young kids) stayed here for a few days during winter. Living in Florids, we exchanged our Bahamas timeshare week so we could see some snow. Think of this place as your home. There is an indoor swimming pool, but aside from that, it makes for a comfortable stay. Our unit had a nice full kitchen, fireplace, huge bed, sleeper sofa, big bathroom with a shower and a gigantic jacuzzi tub. There are plenty of places to go and a ski slope just a couple of minutes away. Being perched atop a mountain, the view is really nice and there is hardly any traffic. We had no problems getting around in our minivan.
