Watch out
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/09
We have stayed here twice. The first cabin was awesome. The second one ....TERRIBLE. Lost most of our services on the first night in a thunderstorm and no attempt was made to fix after numerous requests. Research your cabin and the owners before making a commitment to stay. We won't stay here again!!

One word AWESOME!!
By Karen, 10/14/09
We stayed at Heavenly Sunrise and that is what you got, a beautiful sunrise over the best view of the mountains. Every window you look out of, you see beauty The cabin was clean and homey, we didn't want to leave it. We will definately be back!

The experience is a lie!
By Jeremiah, 10/09/08
"It's not just a vacation... It's an experience!" - They didn't say what KIND of experience, so I'll share my thoughts on that...HORRIBLE! 1) The projector (one of the biggest selling points for me) had an overdue bulb and was using an S-Video connection, the picture was complete crap! I called to let them know, the Maintenance Manager owned a projector too and said that the bulb was overdue and was appalled by how it looked and how it was connected. They said that they would order another one, but would not have it until I left!| 2) It had a Wii game system in the room with one game in it, Guitar Hero which requires a guitar to play, of which was not included. No way to play it. 3) The hockey table was broken, the maintenance manager looked at it and said he would have to order parts for it too, he never came back. 4) They were doing construction on the cabin directly across from us and kept all of their equipment there, thanks for telling us!!! Every morning a big diesel truck (or more) came to start work. A bulldozer worked on the street right by our cabin for the whole stay. 5) The phone in the room never worked, was some kind of internet phone that was not set up. Maintenance never fixed it either. I told them the whole situation at the desk when I left, and put it all on their survey sheet they asked me to fill out. The lady at the desk said someone would contact me about a possible discount. A week later, no call. I called them 3 times before being told that these cabins are individually owned and that they do not discount for things not working in the cabins. So everything in the room can be broken when you get there and they won't do anything about it. GO ELSEWHERE!

Greatest View of the Smokies
By buggies, 05/18/08
Our Cabin was very clean and had all the comforts of home and so much more. We will be back in the fall. We found a great Pizza place across the street from the Star Crest office that delivered and was not $$$. This resort is the best and not far from the main drag and Dollywood. We loved our stay.

I'm going back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/08
We stayed in the 'Amidst the Smokies' a 3 bedroom. The cabin was decorated for Christmas and made us feel right at home or actually a lot more amentities than my home. The beds were firm and the 52" TV was great!. My wife was pleased that there were plenty of plates, sliverware, and cooking utensils. They even have a cappacino machine and air popcorn popper. The kids had PS II, XBox, and pool to keep them busy. We took advantage of both hot tubs. Also included was a computer with internet service. The cabin was very close, about a mile, to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. The view was unbelieveable(looking at Mt. Leconte and the Smokies), even without the binoculars provided. Within 20 minutes, we were in the Smokies playing in snow. This cabin was more than expected. I plan to go back soon.

Loved our stay at "Good Times"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/07
While planning a vacation to the Smoky Mountains, we were looking for a cabin conveniently located to all the areas attractions. After doing some research, we chose “Good Times” at Starr Crest Resort. The property was beautiful and nestled high in the hills. With me not being familiar with the area, it was a perfect location because it was just over a mile down the street from the entrance of Dollywood. “Good Times” was one of Starr Crest’s brand new “Ultra” cabins. The cabin was terrific, full of amenities, and very upscale. The children had a blast. The played pool, air hockey, Xbox, PS2, and splashed in the hot tub. There was even a custom two player tabletop arcade with classic games, as well as a Dell computer with a high speed wireless connection. Starr Crest also has a pool and park area which we did not have time to use. My wife and I had a great time as well. We stayed in the bedroom upstairs. The whole back of the cabin was in glass to take in the outstanding views. We had our own stone fireplace facing the bed, a master bath with an incredible jetted tub for two :), and a Hot Tub with surround sound speakers just outside on the view deck. It was great to wake up, sit outside on the rockers, and have a cup of coffee. “Good Times” was a very fitting name and we are looking forward to coming back.

Starr Crest Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/06
City water. No water problems in Starr Crest Resort. Don't know who wrote about problems with water and rotten egg smell but our developer spent 2 million to get city water in Starr Crest Resort. This person could NOT have been in Starr Crest Resort.

Absolutely Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/06
Our stay at the Starr Crest resort was absolutely wonderful. Check in was very easy and informative. Just a few minutes from all the Pigeon Forge attractions and about 9 miles from Gatlinburg shops our cabin was a short drive up the mountain. When we walked into the cabin my first thoughts were of how nicely it was furnished and how clean it was. Top of the line on everything....kitchen fully stocked with every little thing you would nee. Blender, toaster, cooking needs, mixing bowls grill supplies, lots of glasses, plates and silverware. Baths also fully stocked with towels etc. Cabins are so lovely and new, furnishings are very high quality, Large flat screen TV's in each room, DVD's. CD's Bose stereo.....Lot of extras. Game room was great with the views, hot tub, porch, pool table and air hockey. The beds are so comfy and bedding just awesome! We stayed for 5 nights, never had any issues and want to go back as soon as we can! Nice pool and playground also. My only advice is to hit the groceries store as soon as you get there, delivery is very high $$$ from the local restaurants and if you have a few people and will use a lot of trash bags, you only get three to start you and the rest is up to you, also only two starter 1 load packs of laundry soap.... Don't forget to visit the Forbidden Caverns"! This cabin is worth the money....We stayed in "Absolute Tranquility" and it made our visit to TN so worth it. There was some minor construction going on but not near buy and never heard a thing?

Stay at your own risk.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/05
I hardly know where to start. We had water problems from the start and when the water did come on it looked like mud and smelled like rotten eggs. As soon as we turned off the lights the bugs started coming out of the walls. Never again.
