We were there for a family members high school graduation in June of this year. What a PIG STY !
Rooms were dirty, and had witnessed the 2 Latino male maids coming from room. Not sure what they did, but,it was'nt to clean it! The front desk clerks were rude and did'nt know the meaning of the "customer being right". There were no clean bath linns left in the room during our 4 day stay. No coffee, because it did'nt come in on the truck;supposedly. The continental breakfast was not sanitary or considered a breakfast. They had a gallon of mlk, juice in the small cooler. There were granola bars in a basket on the cunter, a "tub" of cream cheese with one knife, for everyone to use out of. The swimming pool was green and smelled. The jaquzzi was broken and looked as if it had been urinated in,over and over.
The parking lot at night ,as well as the hotel lobbyseemed to be a local hangout for teenagers. Two of which roamed the corridors at night.
Water or urine damage to mattresses. Will not stay at this location ever again.
WE DO NOT RECCOMEND STAYING THERE TO ANYONE !!!!!!!!!! YOU DEFINATELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.............
Room was dirty and stayed dirty while there. Mattresses water damaged and tore. Pool water not fit to swim in. Should have been closed until Health Depart deemed it fit to swim in. Breakfast bar unsanitary. Hotel appeared to be local hang out for teenagers. The only maids I saw were 2 Latinos who could only speak the word "yes" in English and appeared to not understand spoken English. Will never stay at this hotel again.
i wanted someone to know that i had the worst experience at a sleep inn ever!!!! First the were spiders and worms in the pool the hot tub was broke and to top it off i had ants in my bed!!! HOW SICK!!! I was supposed to stay there for 2 nights and i checked out after the first night and when i told the girl at the front desk she didnt say 2 words to me like im sorry or anything. So i went to another hotel down the road and i told them about our stay at the sleep inn and they apologized for our bad experience and upgraded our room!!!! I will tell everyone I know about this experience!!!!!!!
I couldn't say enough great things about this hotel. My friend and I were traveling on Christmas day and needed to stop for the night. We stopped at a few places to check prices and found a winner here, $48 a night on Christmas!!! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, clean spacious room and continental breakfast. Such a winner!
For the past 4 years we have been in Cherokee for Thanksgiving,(in fact for the past 3 years our son's family has also been with us)@ Sleep Inn. We loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The breakfasts were good and featured fresh belgium waffles. 2008 turned out to be a disappointment. Belgium waffles were replaced with frozen microwavable waffles. Sausage 'n Biscuits were nice addition although they were not put out every day.
The kids got in their bathing suits to go in the pool but there was a problem so the pool was not heated AND the jacuzzi was closed for maintenance. The pool was a main reason we chose Sleep Inn. I would have thought management should have told us prior to our arrival or immediately upon arrival that the pool was out of commission. On our last day the pool was warm enough for the kids to get in one swim. We were there for 7 days.
There was also a smoke alarm that beeped (like it had a low battery). My daughter-in-law reported it but nothing was done.
Extremely clean and quiet hotel. Nice breakfast. I was not expecting much, but was very surprised. We will stay there again.
Only negatives: had difficulty with heating/cooling unit and the pillows were not soft.
I have to say, that after reading one or two of the room reviews, I was a little anxious about our stay, but all my fears were for naught. The room was clean, the jacuzzi tub very clean, the people very nice, the continental breakfast very good, and the location excellent. We will definitely stay again, if we ever go back to Cherokee for an overnighter.
