WE LOVE IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/10
We are transplants to the Kingman area from Washington state, and LOVE the green, woodsy pine surrounding the Lodge. The food is excellent and the people are warm and friendly. We go there often to have dinner and Sunday brunch to get out mountain "green" fix

Decline in service and quality
By AnnMarie, 6/8/10
Having grown up in Kingman, we were looking forward to a family dinner at the lodge. Once arrived at the restaurant, we had to wait a period of time (we had reservations). The wait staff was cursory at best-telling us she wasn't ready for us, that she had to really scraped the bottom of the container to get our bowl of soup, not refilling drinks, etc. She wasn't excessively rude, just not that good. I think that would have been okay if the food was really good. To be honest, all the food with the exception of my own steak, was just blah. The mahi mahi was dry, the chicken fried steak was really rubbery and SALTY, chicken was just there. The ribs, which used to be outstanding, not so much. This is not the lodge that we often frequented in years past. Super disappointed.

BEAUTIFUL AREA, COMFORTABLE ROOMS, GREAT STAFF
By Judy, 12/28/09
We found the staff was extra helpful, the small suite we stayed in was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. I have no negative feedback to give. 100% return traveler.

Great Place to Escape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/09
Moving to Kingman recently, we found the lodge through a local referral and so glad we did. The park up there is beautiful and going up for a meal is a great way to beat the heat in the hotter months. Anything we have eaten there has always been great and a good value for the money. The service is friendly and the atmosphere of being up there is soothing to the soul. The only thing we don't like is that the restaurant is not open on Monday's and Tuesday's for dinner.

Stay in the Park instead
By Juanita, 7/6/09
Cool breezes inthe Pines, greasy food, uncaring staff, Owner's a jerk -- stay in the Hualapai Park next door ( cabins and camping) ---- better experience roughing it for a few days than staying in the one hotel on the Mountain

What a GREAT day !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/09
Left Havasu at a balmy 74 degrees..Arrived at a crisp 42. While sitting in the toasty warm restaurant, having one of my best lunches in a long time,it started to snow. Our waiter Tony was super attentive and a pleasure to talk to. It was well worth the trip. The food, the service, the wildlife at the window made this an afternoon my friends and family will remember fo a long time. We will be back (often).

So relaxing!
By NoreenM, 7/20/08
The food in the restaurant was awesome! We watched elk walk by a picture window in the restaurant. No a/c in rooms, but they did provide fans which made it comfortable. Nice afternoon showers that we enjoyed from our front porch. A perfect get-a-way for us.

It was worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/08
The Hualapai Lodge was worth the money we paid for the room for one night. It was a new lodge, large room with 2 queen beds, bed linnen was new and clean, bathroom was large and clean with all needed accessories. This lodge is similar to the accommodation at the South Rim. They gave us 2 complimentary tickets for a buffet type breakfast and did not charge for my daughter who is 11 years old. Every equipment was in good working condition. I do not know why many people had kept bad reviews scaring people off from this lodge. The people at the reception are not friendly but if you do ask questions they are ever willing to go out of their way to help you out or answer any questions. Beds were comfortable and the food at the restaurant were reasonably priced. I recommend people to go stay at this lodge and not keep negative reviews. Are you expecting 5 star service at a 1 star price. The rates at this lodge is very reasonable for the quality/comfortable room after a hectic drive back from the West rim

Great hideout
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/07
The hualapai lodge was a pleasant surprise. Our room had a nice cabin feel to it The bar and restaurant was very comfortable. The two man band Saturday was the best. Joe and Dave have a rock/bluegrass sound. Sunday brunch is a must. Home cooking and great service with an awesome view of nature.
