Would never stay there again....
Night one----upon arrivial after a 9 hour drive, was looking forward to getting a few hours of sleep. Keep in mind, I have 2 small children and another adult with me. We split a double queen room amongst us. Somewhere around 2AM, I am awoken by my youngest child because above us on both sides, "locals" are having motel parties. A call to the front desk to complain about noise did no good. Somewhere between 3-4AM, another call---still no results. Finally I guess we were all tired enough we passed out and slept through it. We wake up, start taking showers, only to find out that the shower wouldn't drain(or drained slowly enough that you got to bath your legs in your wonderfully clean shower water). I was fed up. I rarely EVER complain about anything, but that was just enough since my children 7 and 4 were standing in nasty water trying to get clean before going to their grandparents for T-day dinner.
Once going to the front desk and complaining with Management, we worked out a deal that I would be reimbursed a free nights stay, and he assured me that it would be taken care of when we checked out at the end of the trip.
Night 2---went very well, no complaints....shower drain had been fixed enough for water to drain while showering. Kudo's to management for fixing it in a nice timeframe.
Checkout---Go to check out and the manager then informs me that he can't do anything for me since I booked through Priceline. Then proceeds to loose his temper and threatened to have me expelled from the property while all I was trying to do was figure out how to resolve the issue. The management was very rude, very abrupt, and had obviously had enough of dealing with customers that he wasn't about to listen to another one tell him that he needed to do something to make up for the horrible night stay that he had already agreed to make right.
Needless to say, this was the WORST experience I have ever had in any motel in teh country, and I travel on a regular basis. The manager was too nieve to unserstand that he needed to take care of his customer that was in front of him regardless of how the trip was booked.
Overall experience for this motel---spend the 20 extra dollars and stay at the Hampton Inn next door, you'll have a lot better nights sleep, and the management will treat you with respect.
