Apple Mountain by Evrentals, Clarkesville

We bought here just to join RCI, if not for that we would not have considered it. The sales people are pushy and as we later found out, very dishonest. They promise all kinds of stuff but never follow through. The staff at the resort is lazy and rude. I stood waiting for 15 minutes to check in and all the while the person at the desk was more concerned with their lunch and emails. Everything we asked about or tried to schedule activity wise , we were told was unavailable. Even the popcorn my kid asked for to have during the movie! He was told they were out and were not making anymore. It was lunch time, there was still lots of hours of movies and lots of kids there. The resort itself is small and out dated. The playground is small, putt putt small, horses old, game room expensive, food at grill stinks, pool small and dirty. If you just want to go play a game of golf, fine. Other than that don't bother.

I visited. It is nothing special. They are "developing". Translation they are under construction. This place is not even in the mountains, but at the foot of the mountains. Clarksville is a boring hick town. Nothing interesting to do. The sales people are pushy and I believe border line psychopathic. Severe pressure tactics to buy into what seemed to me a bum deal. Not worth it at all. The good reviews below are not real people. The real reviewer will tell it like it is not be an advertisement.

Their sales director thinks he is a demigod who owns the property and you and YOUR ALL AMERICAN freedom. "This is my house" he stated and "when you are in MY HOUSE you do things MY WAY." Paul Long bellowed with flailing hands in my face. We considered purchasing from the nice sales lady, however when asked for motorized assistance on the tour we were told "NO, YOUR DONE." and a finger pointed to the door. Stay or purchase from these people at your own risk. Upon reading the reviews written here, it sounds like they wrote them themselves. BUYER/GUEST BEWARE - this is one review you don't want to ignore.

the place was so relaxing and fun. The town of helen is so fun and you have to get a chocolated covered strawberry at the place. But dont go to the steakhouse the steak is salty and has so much msg in it and the place is so crummy. the braekfast place is delicious, it is where you almost leave helen. dont go tubing! It was the worst experience in my life! so scary!

We LOVED this place! The rural location was close to all the types of activities we enjoy, and the small towns in the surrounding area were just lovely. Whitewater, Hiking, Fishing, etc - Tallulah Gorge is a must-see. The Apple Mountain Resort itself was clean and neat. The staff were helpful and friendly. We found the place to be an excellent place to stay, and would stay there again in a minute. If you enjoy out of the way places with lots of outdoor activities, then this is an excellent choice.

I loved the atmosphere and the service. I always know that the staff will do all the EXTRAS. The only thing I could say on the negative side is that I did have a couple times where the condo was not as clean as it should have been. Also there were some maintanance issues. such as broken toilet, broken heater (it was VERY COLD OUT) They did try and fix the heater but it never got done until I left. HOWEVER, I think the guy came 3-4 times and with extra blankets. So the SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! THEY REALLY DID TRY~
