Ossa-Win-Tha Resort, Guntersville

The last few years we have been going to Ossa and it has gone downhill every year. Last year we didnt even have pots and pans to cook on. We told them so they went to another cabin and took some. Later that day another group showed up to the cabin where they took the kitchenware. The next day those people moved to another cabin because the hot water heater didnt work. The location is great but the accomidations suck. This could be such a nice place but the owner dosent seem to care about it. The boat ramp also sucks,

i loved it the place is a hunter/fishing mens dream i do both and stayed a week my friends have went for 10 years and love it the place isnt a holiday inn express so dont rent its for the nature lover not city slicker will be goin back in 2 months for another week but this time there are about 30 of us goin they will stay in motel i will be at ossa win tha the home away from home

I read the previous reviews of which one complained of the sea weeds last year. It was a problem everywhere on Lake Guntersville. Unfortunate their visit was prior to spraying. We have a place there and love it.. Quiet, everybody there are very nice, Owner lives onsite. Osa Win Tha is a fishing resort..and the cabins are rustic. It is set for camping, not a hotel.. All good... We absolutely love it there.

ossa wintha isnt a bad place if your going to be fishing its not a place to take a vacation and stay its a place to sleep after u have fished all day

I was told it was a very clean place and we would have a dock for our boats. The place was nasty and the docks had so much grass no one could put a boat in without tearing up the motors.If you notice they no longer have a site. Thats because the lady that owned it died and her daughter is running it and it has run down so bad they don't want people to kinow that it is in awful shape. They are trying to rent these cabins for 700 dollars a week. they aren't worth a 100 dolars a week.

The bad conditions that this place was in is very embarassing to Alabama.Person that we spoke to was very misleading on what was there for the guest.

My husband and I have a lot in Ossa Win Tha. We really enjoy it there. Very peaceful and quite. Nothing fancy, but a great get away. We say it is the best kept secret we have every found....

Imagine a fishing cabin, in the woods, on the lake, in the mountains. That is what Ossa Win Tha Resort is. Nothing fancy -just a fishing cabin, but very clean, with everything you would need. Fishing is the best we have ever had, and the friendliest people in the world. There are trails with rhodendruns and bittersweet, depending on the time of year. The cabins sleep lots of people - our two bedroom had a loft and a bed on the front, screened in, porch. The lake is just 30' away or maybe a little more, depending on where the cabin is. The cabin actually slept 10. Again - it's not fancy, and there are lots of pine trees, but if you want very reasonable rates for a family, and to bring your pet, I highly recommend Ossa Win Tha. We can't wait to go back, and have been going there since 1986.
