These people ripped me off
I want to share my bad experiences with the Joshua Tree Inn with you.
I made a reservation mid November for 2 nights, that I cancelled a few days later. At the end of the month, the entire amount of $101,65 was charged to my account. I sent them several emails saying this must be a mistake, and can you please refund the money. No answer. I called. 'We will call you back a.s.a.p.', said Inn keeper Stephanie. No answer. A week later her - seemingly very friendly - husband said the same, although he explained to me that there is a $50 non refundable cancellation policy (which I find odd in itself, but OK). He would look into the matter of the other $51,65 and get back to me.
It has been a month now that I have been waiting for my money, I have sent more angry emails to no avail. More than $100 down the drain!
Please consider this when making a reservation. I am sure the place is charming, and the Inn keepers sounded nice, too, but to me they now have proven to be... well, thieves.
