Wyndham Vac Resorts - Ocean Boulevard, North Myrtle Beach

I love this resort. I own timeshare at another Wyndham in Myrtle Beach but always stay at Wyndham Ocean Blvd! I had booked a reservation for 4 nights to take my sisters from KY and friends to MB. I was going to be put in Tower 4 which is not oceanfront, I spoke to the Manager and explained I have a sister with a terminal lung disease and a sister that is missing half of a foot and the a big toe missing on other foot. They can not walk any distance, the man arranged for us to stay oceanfront, with a elevator next to our unit for the comfort of my sisters. This is the only place I recommend to anyone going to Myrtle Beach. The units have been updated with new furnishings, carpet, and paint this past year. You will enjoy your visit!

This Wyndam Resort on South Ocean Blvd. North Myrtle Beach appears to be a nice quality resort from the pictures however, looks can be deceiving. Upon checking in we where gracefully greeted and directed toward the check in desk area very friendly. Once checked in we were directed to the parking pass area. This is when the wheels started to fall off the cart. The parking pass area is where the Time Share Cult (TSC) people work. They have a nice sales pitch on Time Share however, when we said we were not interested in Time Share info the lady representative of the TSC became very irate. Would not take no for an answer so we just walked away. The room was clean however, the upkeep is poorly maintained at best. No hot water in the bath tub. The shower door molding was falling apart. The indoor swimming pool had a dirty diaper floating in for who knows how long. Poor maintenance upkeep over all. The point is we could have stayed anywhere in Myrtle Beach and we chose the Wyndam in North MB. This Wyndam did us in and we will never stay at a Wyndam anywhere again due to the TSC & poor quality overall.

I Pray that who ever checks into Wyndham Ocean Blvd. at Myrtle Beach doesn’t have the unfortunate experience of dealing with Marty Moore, who’s people skills would better be utilized at a correctional institution or military facility. I did not share the fact that I am battling breast cancer and really needed to RELAX that week before more test were done on me. Or that the 4th was hubby B-day and 7th was our 15th wedding anniversary. We stayed Sept. 4-11 20210 I'll keep this as short as possible. At check-in your last stop is at the "Tour Sales Counter" for non-owners to get your parking pass. After a long drive and wanting to get to my room I was held up by a nasty sales woman, Marty Moore, who was snappy, beyond rude, argumentative and a bully. It seemed as though she was trying to show off for another sales rookie in training standing beside her. Keep in mind we have stayed at this resort before and I was trying to tell Ms. Moore that my husband did not want to attend a sales presentation. The next morning I went down to the front desk to tell the manager Mr. Ekerd what had happened, he seemed nice and apologetic. He said that he would take it up with upper management and that the resort would do something nice for us, (which was sweet but they didn’t do anything nice for us either…which is OK, I didn’t complain to get anything). I complained because this should not happen at vacation resorts!!! Our conservation: After the hellos Clerk: Do you know the owner? Me: I bought the vacation off of ebay from the owner. Clerk: That is not the question I ask you! The question that I asked you, is do you know the owner? (I was taken back with raised eyebrow’s at this point, even the rookie seemed a bit shocked at Ms. Moore’s attitude). Me: No I do not know the owner. (When Ms. Moore tried to set up a time for a sales tour, I told her that my husband would not want to attend a sales presentation.) Clerk: You will listen to everything that I have to say until I’m finished, do I make myself clear. (I am getting really disturbed at this point!!! I can't believe that this is happening...I keep looking at the rookie and she seemed to be just as shocked as I was, then she stepped way back from the counter). So…I let her say her spiel, then when she tried to book a tour time, I had to tell her AGAIN that my husband would not want to attend, she turned completely nasty telling me how I wasn’t helping anyone out at Wyndahm…WTF? Me: Look I’m just here for a little R&R ( I did not share the fact that I am battling breast cancer and really needed to RELAX that week before more test were done on me.) Clerk: As are we all! (HUH? I can't say that I have any complaints. My husband, my 14 month old, and myself stayed in a 3 br condo on the top floor. We had no trouble with anything, the room was very nice, very clean, anything you would need right there to do WHATEVER you would want. We happened upon this room through a friend selling her father-in-laws time share points. Best choice I have ever made was to take this trip!

We were in tower 3 on the second floor. We showed up early for check in and they were very accommodating to our early arrival. My 11 year old son and his friend loved the game room. My wife, two year old twins, and I had a great time at the beach and pool. They offered several activities and the service was great. We would definitely visit again.

We made a reservation a month prior to arrival June 25, they emailed my daughter on June 18 telling her all about it, on June 21 she contacted them and told them no high floor I was panicky about heights. They told her we would have a DVD in the room and on and on. We arrived about 1PM June 25, called the front desk and we were told we were at the Towers on the Grove another "Wyndham' hotel. On check in they told us they had one room left room 1537, 15 floor, I looked at it , dark dingy, no balcony overlooking the blvd., it was terrible, they would not budge and would not return the money to my daughters credit card. Sunday the lazy river closed some jerk threw a beer bottle in it from the balcony . Also closed the rest that evening . This was a terrible vacation, and I put the blame on Wyndham Ocen BLVD. they had many opportunities to tell us of the overbooking , via email, phone and we could have found another hotel, not when they shuffled us to the Grove into a room not fit for rats to live . When we made the reservation I looked at a lot of hotels, but never thought a Wyndham resort would pull such a trick. I think they should give us 3 nights in one of the nice rooms fit for people. This is a travesty for them to take a persons hard earned money for such a terrible room. The general manager of the Towers on the Grove has contacted me and as so many others agreed this was not right, including the staff at the Grove. Problem being it was the Wyndham Ocean Blvd who decided to shuffle us to a dump of a room, it was like there is one room take it or leave it, we were there , with no refund, and no other place at that time. We got there 2 hours early before check in. They told us the rooms weren’t clean yet, so they will call me on my cell phone in an hour when room is finish. So my family and I check out the hotel and sat outside and waited. We waited an hour and didn’t get a call. So we go back up to the 3 floor to check in and the lines were long! They didn't even call us. Then you had a lot of angry people waiting in line for about 2 hours. They were in the middle of changing ownership to Wyndham. It was in the middle of check in and spring break. This was the wrong time to be changing names to the hotel. Then they gave us a room that people was in already. When we got back to the counter we found out they gave a lot of people rooms people were already in! Then on our last night they took 250.00 off our credit card saying we haven't paid for our room yet. We already paid 302.00 online 3 months before we came there. That was our fun money they took and mess up our last night. They said they will give us back the money but it is 3 days later and still no money. They gave us a$ 25.00 gift card to T-Boz. Wow great! Hotel was nice and pool area nice. We had a 1 room efficiency with doubles bed, ocean view (which is really side view), and kitchen. The balcony couldn't fit 2 people, it was small and rooms were small. Manager Jeff Mussetman told me to call him if I didn't get my money back. When I called, he didn't answer! Nice hotel, but we went through too much and we will never return!

We just returned, cutting our thanksgiving vacation short ....Room 301 (tower 4) had other visitors besides us, they were families of german roaches (killed over twenty). Turn lights on, they could be seen running. The front desk sent someone to spray (quickly)..but we asked that they not spray...for fear of allegies/a child....but hopefully after we left....this room was sprayed by professionals....It was a beautifully decorated two bedroom in tower four...which is across the street from check-in. This resort rests above a parking garage levels p2-p4 then the first floor which is where the exercise room and indoor pool is. The indoor pool was closed...but the out door pools were open. The parking is true....tight spaces and hard to find parking spaces in the parking decks...finally we found one on our last day...it was raining. Based on the parking...there were a lot of people staying here. We saw several people pushing their luggage carriers from the tower (1,2,3) across the street to the parking lot that is behind tower four 4 in the rain after checking out. On one day there were empty covered go carts (carried about 8 people)...with drivers standing around..one lady who asked for a ride from behinf tower 4 to tower 1 was told to go and call from the parking garage to get a ride..for these empty covered carts for were those people who were doing a hr and 50 min timeshare showing....the lady walked from the back parking lot behind building four to her room in tower 2 . Note: the drivers were courteous as they instructed her. Most of the time the go carts had two to 3 people in them. They really could use a over head breezeway, especially for the rainy days. I did not notice security at night in parking area behind, tower 4......overall...disliked roaches...loved the room and the jacuzzi tub!

I really like it here, we had 10 people staying in one room, 4 kids. The pool was convient and so was the beach, loves the pool side view from out balcony and beach view. Would definetly think about coming back..

We just returned from a 7 nt stay at the Wyndham Ocean Blvd. and absolutely loved it! We rented our 2 bd/2 bath condo thru "myresortnetwork.com". Believe me I was skeptical and worried that it would look nothing like the pictures, we would be disappointed and stuck in a room/resort that we did not like. The person we rented from emailed me often (with reassurance!) and we even spoke on the phone a few times. Upon check in we were very pleased! Our check in was quite speedy (contrary to other reviewer comments), however we were "swindled" into a time share demonstration for the following morning. We were told that this is "mandatory" since it was our first visit. We later found that to be untrue, we could have declinced! However, it lasted only 20-30 minutes and it was informative (we were curious how the timeshares worked anyways) AND we were "rewarded" with 2 adult tix to Ripley's Aquarium, $25 GC to House of Blues, and $25 GC to T-Bonz (we had our choice of many other venues). So if you don't mind giving 30 minutes of your time, the "rewards" are worth it! I have mostly only positive remarks for the resort/condo.The decor is "different". Modern, and colorful.Beautiful.The condo was spacious. We had 2 adults and 4 teenagers in our group.The master bath is, by far, the best feature! It was the same size as the master bedroom! The whirlpool bath is amazing! Our unit (tower 3, condo 1024) was side ocean view (like most units) but was still a great view.Since there is no daily maid service, house keeping came in mid-week for a "trash and tidy" visit. Not quite sure what they did tho.You put your own trash out by the door before noon each day.They did no cleaning at all, they did not change the sheets either.As far as i could tell they only changed out our towels and made the beds.Nice, big, plush beach towels were provided in the condo, as was trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap,towels sets for 8 people, and small toiletries.The pools were nice (somewhat crowded during the day). Beautiful infitinty pool and zero-entry pool. If you are one to sit around the pool for sun, make sure you get up early! The sun only shines thru the towers (where the pools are located) until like 1:00, after that it's nearly all shaded. Both lazy rivers were nice. Warm water. The pool bar has specials daily, happy hour daily and a DJ plays music. Security continually walks around the pool areas. There is a game room with pool tables, ping pong table and other games. Daily activites are posted for both children and adults! (Water aerobics in the lazy river early a.m. for adults!) Tower 4's pool is very new and also very nice. More sun during the day there and a lot less people. There is a small "down town" 2 blocks to the north of the hotel. Here you can find 2 surf shops, some bars/restuarants, bike rentals and O.D. Pavillion that has an arcade, beach-fron bar and restuarant and music playing continually! We were told that "shaggers" frequent this popular pavillion for contests. Lots of history there with picutures on the walls everywhere! The only negative things I can speak of are: the elevators! there were only 2 in our tower and you had to wait atleast 5 minutes (or more) to get one. Parking was an issue at times. There is "limited" parking under tower 2 which was always full! Over-flow parking is across the street under tower 4 and when that is full (which it is if you are returning late evening) there is parking in an additional lot behind tower 4. A shuttle is available to and from the garages if you request it, but really the walk isn't that far! They really need to build a walk-over to get to and from tower 4 though. Crossing the blvd can be kinda hectic! I hope anyone that stays here enjoys their stay as much as we did! All the MANY pros out-weighed the cons, by far! We definitely plan to return to this resort again in the future. Don't hesitate to use "myresortnetwork.com" to search for a rental. It was so worth it!
