Loved the place
By Wecare Timecard, 12/21/11
Rented the whole place including the veranda, for family Christmas stay. The rooms were clean, well stocked with supplies, a perfect place, close to beach and shops. Owner was available when needed. Parking a little hard because we had so many cars. Comfort in the rooms were like in a four star hotel, wireless internet and a real feeling like you were a welcomed guest. Nice kitchen in each rooms, but the veranda was great with the viking stove. You don't need to bring anything, laundry facilites available. Best of all, is the layout ,a private retreat in a busy beach town.

We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/5/10
Perfectly located walking distance to the beach and town. We did not have to eat out every meal because we had a full kitchen. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. A good value for the money. Large lushly landscaped yard with seating areas and barbeques. Small and quaint with the best of locations.

I agree
By playsfair, 12/27/09
I agree with all the bad reviews. The place is a sty. We stayed once before and it was very nice and clean. Now, it seems to be under new management because its ghetto. I felt like I was in the middle of a tourist trap. Everything looks rundown too. C'mon you can go around and do touchups and dusting?!!!! Hillbillies who only want your money.

Very quaint and nicely decorated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/09
Arabella Laguna was a great retreat for me and my husband. The cottages were very private and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for walking to town or enjoying the beach. I would highly recommend this place for your next getaway.

No service and unclean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/09
When arriving to arabella laguna there was not a soul to be found on the property when calling the front desk for assistance there was no answer. When we did get into the room it was very nice until we started looking around more. There was a lot of dust I was disappointed that I had to take the trash out for the two days I was there since I was paying so much for a cleaning fee which I have never heard of any hotel/motel/cabin/cottage or anything of that sort charging before. Location was nice and it was private but I would not recommend staying here.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
By donald, 2/15/09
A 75 to 100 dollar cleaning fee is charged when staying at this place which is absolutely ridiculous in the first place but even worse it is not very clean and they expect you to clean your dishes and take out your own trash after your stay. For a place that charges that much for cleaning it should be spotless, instead we found five spiders within our room hanging from various cob webs. We also found a large clump of hair on the blanket of our bed and then once that was removed we found various other hairs on the pillows and in the bed. If I am paying 75 dollars for a cleaning fee why is it I have to clean my own dishes and take out the trash of this room that is obviously not taken care of in the first place. When you book the room they don't tell you that you are the one doing half the cleaning instead that is stated in a note on the nightstand you will find once inside your room. Not to mention our heater did not work and the only instructions for the heater were in french in spanish. When we called the front desk three times to see if someone would fix it there was no answer.

Pretty good stay
By SarahL, 7/3/07
Finding where to check in was a bit difficult. I found myself looking around the property. A small sign would be helpful. In my opinion the spare room/extra bedroom in the Lavendar Suite felt cramped and small. Removing the desk and rocking chair and replacing it with a small chair or couch would be nice. The overall decor was nice and the location was great. It is definitely like renting a furnished home. You should bring your own soap, lotion, iron, blow dryer, etc...There is a lot of privacy and the beach is across the street.

Great place, no service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/07
While we loved our cozy, home-like cottage, the lack of service was a drawback. The hostess breezed through the place upon arrival and didn't show us where things were, how things worked or leave phone numbers in case of an emergency or major question. To top it off we parked where they told us to in the alley and managed to get a $36 ticket! We tried to dispute the ticket upon our return home to no avail and the Arabella Laguna "staff" did nothing to help us out. I would not recommend this place based on those reasons. They just want your money and do not make you feel welcome. The $100 cleaning fee is over the top for a short visit.

A magical stay
By Dominic, 1/8/07
Lovely little suite, felt immediately at home. A perfect place for those who wish to visit Laguna & OC without ending up in an impersonal hotel chain.
