Water Wheel Resort is a Private Mobile Home Park, located in Blythe, California on the beautiful Colorado River. Whether you purchase a home here, or you are lucky enough to be invited by a resident...you are sure to have a wonderful time. This family resort is a wonderful way to raise your kids! It only takes one trip to get hooked.

Water Wheel
By TJMax, 09/10/07
There are no bad seasons at Water Wheel, even during the hot time in the summer. Actually summer is my favorite because the water is warm and I love the water sports. My family loves the riding season. The area is wide open to riders. You have sand dunes near by and tons of wide open beautiful rustic riding. I'm not big on the riding so during that time I explore the nearby towns nearby. Oatman, an old mining town,is near by. Kingman (has tons of antique shops/museums) is also close. The Grand Canyon is about 2 1/2 hours away. I have to mention Quartzite which is only 15 min from Blythe and is a must see during its peak season Jan/Feb.

Fun In The Sun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/07
For those wanting to have a nice place to get away to this is the place to go! If you are caught up in the hustle and bustle of Havasu or Laughlin and you enjoy the monotony there then this is not the place for you. Water Wheel Resort is a private community for the exclusive use of its owners and their immediate guests only. Contrary to the first posting, this resort does not allow nor condone the process of renting or loaning your House to other people. Guests are more then welcome to come with owners but not allowed to come on their own. This keeps the integrity and well being of the community intact and safe from the usual "weekenders that have little regards to the areas and properties that don not belong to them. This community has next to NO crime because of the rules set by the park management. The community is VERY well maintained and does not allow "day campers" Rv's fifth wheels or tents. As much as some may feel these rules are bothersome, those who have homes there do so because they like to feel comfortable about their property. This community does not allow full time living, they consider it a vacation resort and it is well kept this way. You will get to know your neighbors very quickly and there is nothing but fun to be had. Super Partiers stay away, this is not the place for you. This is a premier park designed for families who want to get away and relax!

Awesome outdoor fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/07
The Water Wheel Resort is not an actual hotel. It is a community of little trailers. So yeah, it is a trailer park. This little community is on the Colorado River (the part in California) and although inhabited by many people coming to jetski, seadoo, and ride their boat, it is fun for the whole family. You can swim in the river and tons of people are there during the warmer season and holidays. When it is summer time, it gets to be up to 130*F at its hottest. So you can run around in your swim suit all day. The draw back is that motor homes and RV's are typically not allowed, and you have to buy or rent a trailer. You can't just ren a trailer for a week; its just like renting a house. The little community has a small general store with ice, swimwear, sandals, food, inflateable toys, sunglasses, a golf cart for sale (usually), and maybe even fishing bait. That's the other cool thing; almost everyone who lives there uses a golf cart for transportation! The roads, made out of gravel, are not very big and are unmarked. You could walk the whole community in twenty-five minutes if you wanted to, but most people enjoy the golf carts. I loved it and want you to know its a fun, desert community. *Note*: It takes approximately four hours to drive from Northwood Courtside, Irvine, Ca to Water Wheel Resort. Make sure to pack lots of clothes, sunblock, bathing suits, and food! Enjoy!!!
