The Sanford House, Arlington

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. The staff was warm and welcoming. The Service in the Restaurant was outstanding, and the food was every bit as delicious as we hoped it would be. Chef Gallagher was warm and charming and her flavor profiles were spot on. We sampled wine and enjoyed the company of our table in a quiet (yes, I said quiet, something almost impossible to find in Dallas/Ft.Worth dinning) environment. We were made to feel like we were the only customers in the dinning room. We were fortunate enough to tour several of the amazing rooms the Bed and Breakfast has to offer. I can't wait for an opportunity to enjoy a romantic weekend at the Sanford House. I would recommend the Sanford House to anyone who likes personalized service, outstanding accommodations and an intimate quite setting to spend some time.

Loved the food, service, rooms, and spa. The staff was very nice and responsive to our needs--since we wanted spa services on arrival, they got them set up for us quickly. Also, we did not realize that dinner was served that night and we got reservations and truly enjoyed the entire meal. They also have a fine wine list. The rooms were decorated beautifully and were the cleanest we have ever stayed in. This place is truly a great find. We plan to return!

I really enjoyed staying here - I stayed about a week for business, and it was so nice to come back to the Sanford House each night. It was well worth the money, the food was excellent, and the staff was great. Everyone took time to make sure that all of my needs were met and exceeded. It was my home away from home - I will definitely be back!

The Sanford House was simply wonderful. We stayed for our anniversary and found the entire experience to be one we would most definitely repeat! The grounds were absolutely stunning and the staff was kind and professional. I was able to meet the owner, Joan Bergstrom, during the course of our stay and I found her to be witty and warm. She took the time to ask us about our stay and even offfered some great suggestions on what to do while we were in town. We also visited the spa (located just across the street) and recieved the most amazing treatments we've ever had. I had a manicure and a facial while my husband opted for the deep tissue massage. We were floating by the time we left. I most definitely will recommend the Sanford House to everyone I know! p.s. The food is to die for! Chef Nellda prepared a chicken pasta for the lunch special which I found to be absolutely heavenly.

I was in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for business and wanted a place that was quiet, business-savvy, but traditional. The Sanford House had been recommended by both some friends and business associates. Was I glad I took their advice! Looking at the Sanford House web site I had seen that they recently received the "Official Best of Texas Romantic Getaway - 2009." Well, isn't that nice, I thought. After having actually stayed at the Sanford House, I have to admit to being impressed. In my travels, an award of this type is usually just marketing hot air but from my experience the Sanford House truly deserves the award of "Official Best of Texas Romantic Getaway - 2009." My cottage was immaculate and quiet...it was the Regency Cottage and I highly recommend it. And while it's obvious there would be breakfast since it's a B&B, it's not obvious that the breakfast would be as impressive as the room and grounds. It was. I also enjoyed the Van Gogh Bar where Blake was very friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasurable experience. Only shortcoming to my stay was that since this was a business trip, my wife wasn't with me. Next time, we'll make this a pleasure trip.

We rented a cottage for our anniv. and no one told us that we couldn't use the grounds becasue a wedding was booked out there that day. not even the pool. Everyone was rude and the owner is horrible. I wouldn't go to the spa either! No one knew what they were doing and the blonde behind the desk was impossible. I am easy to please and they couldn't make me happy. I will never stay here again. It is also in a horrile part of town with a sex offender next door. They have the sign posted.

This place is a sparkling jewel in the metroplex. The staff was very accomodating to our needs. We enjoyed a quiet evening on the courtyard with a glass of wine. We will be back!
