Spinnaker Resorts, Hilton Head Island

THOUGHT WE WOULD STAY AT RESORT OR ATLEAST SOMETHING OWNED BY RESORT. WE WERE PUT AT PLAYER'S CLUB. BEDS TOO SMALL NOT WHAT WE WERE PROMISED. ROOM AT SIDE DOOR, WHERE WHEN WE ENTERED HAD TO GO THROUGH POT SMOKE. DINING CREDITS NOT GOOD, ADD'L CREDIT GIVEN AT I HOP (THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT). MASSAGES NOT GIVEN BECAUSE EMPLOYEES FIRED BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO RUDE TO GUEST. WE CERTAINLY DID NOT GET SERVICE PROMISED. HILTON HEAD BEAUTIFUL AND SALES PITCH BY DON WAS WELL DONE.IF WE HAD RECEIVED SERVICES AND STAY AS PROMISED WOULD HAVE BEEN A WONDERFUL TRIP AND WELL WORTH TIME AND MONEY! TRIED TO CALL TO VOICE OPIONS BUT NEVER WAS ABLE TO TALK TO ANYONE.

My wife and I,as well as another couple,visited Hilton Head Island for the first time;and we were certainly pleased with our choice of experiences. After visiting Pinehurst NC for years as a family vacation destination,and lately as a couples' golf vacation holiday spot, we decided to travel a little further South and check out Hilton Head Island, Were we glad we did! Perfect weather,great and convenient accomodations,friendly,helpful staff,a terrific variety of golf courses,and tasty,well-priced restaurants. To top off our week,my friend and I had the opportunity to take in the final round of the Heritage Classic,and see Harbour Town,and experience the sights and sounds of PGA Tour Golf up close and personel. All in all,a great vacation in a beautiful,friendly setting,and well worth the 16 hour drive from Ontario!

My husband purchased a vacation package in April 2010. He died September 2010. Spinnaker refuses to reufnd the money to me. They say the time for a refund expired. They do not care that my husband expired! They will allow me the use of the package, but will charge me $300 additional because I do not meet the eligibility requirements. This borders on mental (and finanial) abuse.

Arrive at the welcome place and given little information about anything. I thought perhaps when we checked into the hotel were we where staying we would get more-nothing. The place where we stayed was not very good to be kind and certainly not a place I would put people that I was looking to get a sizable monetary commitment from. I called the main office in Branson and was told nothing could be done to set up golf etc. till the welcome center reopened Sat. morning at 8. I went there at 8 the front door sign said 9-I waited till 9, no one showed I went to the back door, the sign said 10. Once in we spoke with the woman and set up the stuff , skipped golf as timing would not work out. We decided to use our "Gift"(after we had spent $$$ to stay in a place I would not stay in again) to have a nice dinner on Sunday night. We took our tour on Sunday and the resort and people were nice but when we got the gift cards they were bogus- 1/2 of them were usable at only 4 places-all of which were closed on Sunday and we were leaving Monday AM. We did manage to use one for breakfast. The entire weekend just was not at all what I expected and certainly not something I would of paid any amount for if I had known in advance the set up. I am sure that Spinnaker is very successful but this is not the treatment of people that made them so. Oh I called the Branson office to ask to speak to a manger, was told one would call me to get my concerns. They called once which I missed and I returned the call 5 times with no response-guess the had a lot of people to talk with and didn't need my impute.

We fell for it and we dont want you to do the same. 90 minute tour and sales pitch and you receive dinning dough for your time. PROBLEM: Few restaurants use dining dough at Hilton Head and you have to spend a lot to use them. For example, one restaurant requires a 100.00 min. purchase. Instead of staying on the resort we were placed in a hotel. We pd 170.00 thinking we were staying on site. I could have found better deals on line for a hotel.If they wanted to make a sale,you would think we would have been given an opportunity to experience it. I have never bought a car without test driving it and this is comparable money. Over all, a big waste of time cutting into precious vacation time.

Just got back.. wish we were there longer, this was our second time and what fun everyone had.Great area for everyone in the family.Shopping, crafts,dinner poolside(YUM on the lowcountry boil) golf, ocean....what more can you ask for. Fun was had by our whole gang..young to old. We will be back.~ Anspauch/Ryder

The Hotel was amazing and the best i ever went to 2. The rooms were much bigger than I hoped and the service was amazing!!!
