SeaWalk Hotel and Spa, Jacksonville Beach

WE STAY AT THE SEAWALK HOTEL A FEW TIMES A YEAR TO GET AWAY. A VERY RELAXING PLACE RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE BEACH. THEY TREAT US LIKE FAMILY. GREAT PLACE!

My husband and I had a great time at this place. Quaint little place with a romantic tropical courtyard. Clean, friendly home away from home with a great location! The staff was great! We highly recommend the Seawalk Hotel!!!!

IF YOU GO...DON'T EXPECT A THING!!!!! EXCEPT FOR A DRUNK AND 2 PEOPLE WHO COULD GIVE A CRAP!!!!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE THE OWNERS!!! SPA?????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME... WHERE IN THIS DUMP WOULD THE "SPA" BE LOCATED??? There are NO PHONES, no service of ANY kind done to the rooms, unless you bring your OWN cleaning supplies, and trust me that's exactley what had to be done before even thinking about sleeping in this hole in the ground. There is NO SECURITY, and there are some lets just say "less fortunate" people wondering the surroundings at all times of the day and night. If you plan to stay here, I HOPE TO GAWD, you have made alternate accomidation plans (AND YOUR WILL IS UPDATED) cause you WILL NOT be there long. If you plan a stay for more than a day or two, make sure you pack, bleach, toilet cleaner, carpet stain remover, a mop, vacuum, broom, windex, papertowels, lysol, sheets, pillows a matress cover if you would even DARE to sleep on the bed. You may even want to sign up for some self defence classes. If you book for a week and trust me you WILL WANT the hell outta there after a day or two of being TOTALLY disrespected, and exposed to complete filth, don't expect a DIME of your money back. It just WILL NOT HAPPEN. What really PISSES me off about this place, is we all plan vacations. Our hard earned money and time goes into it. We look at these sites and put our trust in pictures, the accomodations listed and the voice on the other end of the phone. Just to come to find out this is NOTHING LIKE IT LOOKS TO BE!!!! Dont' I BEG OF YOU DON'T waste a single moment more of your time or a hard earned dollar on this place. IF you do I'm sorry to say it...myself and so many others on here have to say " I TOLD YOU SO" I have never heard of NOR seen of such an ABSOLUTE disgrace of a place. You would be better in a local shelter. I ONLY HOPE AND PRAY THE BBB & the higher ups get there hands on this place and close this INFESTED, DISGUSTING PLACE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed for 21 days at this hotel/halfway house. Shame on me for staying so long, but we kept thinking it would SURELY improve. One has to think that any of the positive reviews on this page were written by the owners. I hope no one else falls victim to the misleading website and books this motel for a vacation without seeing it first hand! There were VERY rarely any staff to be found anywhere onsite. Phone calls were NEVER once returned for any reason. The rooms were never once cleaned. During our stay the weather fell into the teens and low 20's for an extended period of time. there is no heat in the rooms, nor did they show any interest or concern in helping with the situation on the two occasions I was able to find any "staff" to ask. I should add that the lobby which they kept locked for "staff' only most of the time was very well heated during this entire time, but no concern at all for guests. People...it was COLD! The rooms were not far from the outdoor temps during this time. Miserable stay, filthy rooms, bad mistake! After we finally had enough, and moved due to all these conditions....of course, no money refunded on our credit cards. I have never in my life tken the time to write a review like this, I consider myself an extremely patient, forgiving person, but these 3 people that "run" this motel were given every possible opportunity to show a glimmer of humanity, concern or conscience...it never showed. That place should be shut down, and I feel it my duty to say so.

What can you say about a place like this? Allow me to sum it up. This place should be Shut Down! There isn't any staff on duty, no towels no heat even though it was mid teens. Asked for some type of heat source, but no one would give any attention. "Half Way" as we have come to call him, was drunk most of the time, The rooms had roaches the shower and room looked as if there had been a murder at one point, they don't really give you towels to use, I'd be afraid to use a black light on them to see just how bad the body fluid trace is, and I beleive that when your not in your room out and bout around town, the rooms must be a place where low budget porn must be shot. So if your looking for a place to get taken advantage of, or you enjoy living as if your on survior then this is the place for you. Personal safety is a major concern. Now I know what your thinking, the person writing this must just be complaining because he only likes the expensive things in life, well your wrong just like you'd be wrong for wanting to stay at this place. It can almost be described as a half way house, except the rumor has it that they provide entertainment, they have a V.I.P room which doesn't make any sense, no one is able to use it, they try and gang rape you on there beautiful botique hotel with over priced rooms. The photo's on the web site isn't what your getting, trust me on this. The office is never opened, they never return you phone calls. Never come to this hotel to stay I'd live on the beach before I'd stay at this place. The rooms should be around $15 to $20 a night. I hope that this helps with your choice in hotels on the beach!!

I would like to say this is a great place to stay!!!! Like another lady said u have to remember that this place is old but its very pretty... The room i stayed in wass great the staff was great i had no problem with my stay yes if i needed anythg i had to call for service but whats wrong with that do you really thk a housekeeper is just goin to be rite there at every hotal ive stayed at ive had to call for service... like i said some people r never happy and have to complain about somethg.. Yes its not for the ritzy but if u like friendly people, great staff, a bar and a bar in the courtyards places all around to go u will love it and u can even bring your animal, u have a comfortable room wht beats that??? I loved my stay and i just dont know why people have to find the bad.....

This place is definitely overrated. No bathtub, no phones, no towels unless you ask for them, no service (you have to call a phone number and hope someone answers if you need anything), noisy a/c, very noisy in the early hours of the mornings when the drunks start stumbling in. Very scary too - you have to have a special key to get in the gate during the night. It's near the beach but you have no view. Not worth the money - even with off peak rates. It should rent for $30 a night or less. The only good thing is the terrific Mexican restaurant next door.

We stayed at this hotel for one painful night. It is disgusting. I have never seen a grosser place. I don't think these rooms are even worth $30. The whole place is filthy. The showers are so dirty none of us showered there. My kids asked if they had to shower there. At night there was loud music until 2am and loud yelling and drinking. It was worse than a college party. I had 2 small kids with me and they wanted to know what was going on. We couldn't get any sleep. After contemplating leaving and driving home in the middle of the night, we ended up leaving early in the morning without even showering. We even used our on bottled water to brush our teeth. Oh and don't try to cancel your room. You have 24 hours to cancel it after you make the reservation. After that you are billed for the room anyway whether you use it or not.

I hope to go back this summer to this hotel, i loved it! it was so fun for partying at the beach, had live music in the courtyard and a nice room...the only problem i had was the comforter was dirty but they were so apologetic and replaced it immediately with a clean one and i was fine. its fun to go there with friends and right across from the beach. i want to go this summer! i just hope its still affordable like it was before. (not recommended for familys who need sleep)

This Hotel is in the middle of everything! We were able to walk to the beach, bars, and restaurants and never had to get in our car! The place is intimate and very comfortable, and the staff was Awesome! Thankyou for having the champagne waiting for us in the room!
