Sun Glow Beach Resort, The, Daytona Beach

I have stayed here for several years in a row. The building is dated and some rooms can be musty and somewhat shabby. I have found if you rent directly through the owners on vacation rentals dot com - check out Pat's Place. Pat is a wonderful owner, very accomodating and her condos are in excellent condition. Expect one of the elevators to be out most of the time, but the pier next door with Crabby Joe's can't be beat!!!! This is a great place for families!!!

The building is very dated. Only 1 of the 2 elevators was working. The condo carpet was stained. The bathrooms showed rust around the showers. Toilets seats were actually worn down in places. Everything in the condo looked original. No updates, upgrades. Kitchen utensils were lacking. Pots and pans were old and worn out. The smoke alarm in the condo went on the blink and was never repaired. The ultimate was that the condo was infested with fleas. They tried to blame us for bringing them in first and then said they were nothing more than sand fleas. Both untrue. We were forced to get out of the place New Years eve and find other accomodations at our expense. We could not contact the condo to discuss since they were closed for New Year. Would never recommend to anyone nor would we ever stay there again. It ruined our vacation!!!!

We just returned from a five night stay at the Sunglow Resort. The two bedroom two bath large oceanfront condo was well furnished and had everything we needed as well as wonderful views. Our girls enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and walking on the beach. We ate several times at Crabby Joe's on the Sunglow Pier and the nearby restaurants. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be returning!

I thought this was going to be the best vacation but it turned out to be the worst one. Everything went wrong from the moment that we walked in. The elevators didn't work 9 flights is a lot of stairs at 95 degrees, room flooded, remotes didn't work, worker outside door making horrible notice early in the morning, etc. It was one thing after another. I would definitely be checking out some different places before I would stay here! I know we will not be staying there again!

Sunglow offers the best of both worlds. A condominium sized room with the feel and advantage of a hotel. It is conveniently located directly on the beach and next to Crabby Joes Pier which gives you the convenience to eat and drink without having to drive anywhere! The pool is heated and the jacuzzi is another fantastic addition to the beach side enjoyment. Overall the building is in very good shape and conveniently located to many areas of shopping and restaurants. Your located on the driving part of the beach, but if you want to be on the no drive area, then it is only a short walk to the South to enjoy the no drive area of the beach. I think that it is a fantastic value overall.
