First, thank you for staying at Kontiki Beach Resort, I want you to know that I am very concerned about your posting. As you know, each condo is owned individually. The owners use the condo's themselves in between bookings so we strive to have each condo clean and in perfect working order upon the arrival of both owners and guests.
In researching to your complaint I have checked our Front Desk Log, and have spoken with the front desk staff, but can find no entry on your report. Your posting was for July 6, so I checked as far back as a month with no results nor did I find a 'Jennifer' that had reservations.
FYI ~ all of our units are inspected regularly and are monthly serviced by our pest control service. I double checked with the service and they have no report on bed bugs. Additionally, our housekeepers and operations team have a check list for our policy standards that are rigorously enforced.

This was the worst place I've ever stayed at! We had bed bugs! We told management and they acted like it wasn't a problem! I paid good money and thought we would be staying in a luxury condo this was far from that! My partner & I were very disappointed.
The location was very nice, I have stayed here several times last year and it was a wonderful experiance. In Januray a new management took over which I was unaware of. The new management company was clueles!!!!! I didnt get maid service everyday that I was there like I was promised by Linda. And when I did get maid service they didnt change the sheets or clean the bathroom. The room that I had was a mess when I checked in. I complained and never got an apoligy from the owner Lynda Bohn or any of the staff. All they told me was a bunch of lies. I will never stay here at Kontiki again!!! WHAT HAPPEN TO THE MANAGEMENT THAT CARED!!!!
Location is great and the private pier is amazing. Don't be fooled when the say "no pets", what they mean is no pets for renters, buy owners may have them. The problem with this is when you are allergic to pet dander, and cannot sit on any furniture other than tat he dining table. The staff will tell you that they have no way of knowing which owners have pets, yet they fail to mention this to you when you are making your reservations. When we picked up our keys, they were actual keys, so I asked if they changed the locks and they told me "heavens no, that would be never ending....but don't worry, I GUARANTEE you will be safe". WOW, any previous renter could have a key, and none of our keys had "Do Not Duplicate" stamped on them. I'm not even going to go into her guaranteeing our safety. But on that note, the front door did not have a keyless lock on it, which is requird by law (1/31/98). The sliding door lock was a broom stick. We find broken glass shards on the kitchen counters, our blankets are thrown (not folded) on the floor. This gives us such a creepy feeling, we spend our vacation cleaning (not my idea of a vacation). My thoughts are that the owner should put locks on the closet door, so we don't know how disgusting they live...by the way, the office informed me that the owner was the on who was there before us, and had prepared the unit for us. The bathroom.....TINY (and hot pink). Tennis Court needs attention, but pool seems okay. Manager never apologized, just said that they always check and fold blankets (no washing?). If you decided to take a chance, just make sure you do not stay in #305.
We rented a pool side condo for 4 days. Good sized cottages. we were told that they only provide cleaning and supplies for the 1st day and that was it. we paid over $200 a day and had to do our own cleaning and buy our own shampoo and supplies. We were expected to have our own trash bags. they didn't even empty them for us. The shampoo and toiletries were travel sized and only lasted 2 days. defintaley would NOT recommend for a vacation experience. pluses- good sized room, good location. minuses- bad services, no support from staff. bait shop too far away. must bring own cleaning supplies and personal items. no water for cleaning fish on the piers. no phone service in the room. I never plan to come back to this location.
This is a real family oriented place. Tennis courts, swimming pools, lighted fishing pier, and recently remodeled rooms in the hotel are just some of the pluses. Rockport is a great family place. The resort is only minutes away from Copano Bay. It,too, has 2 very long lighted fishing piers and a bait store. Many trout are caught under the lights year round.
I love these condos! We have been coming here for over ten years and plan out winter and summer break here ever year. Its a great place to fish and hang out with the kids at the pool. Can't wait to go back.
