Gulf Beach Cottages, Port Aransas

There has been a mistake and we are asking Yahoo Travel to correct it ASAP! The Rock Cottages are an establishment across the street from us and are not owned by us. We are sorry for the confusion. Please call us with any questions or concerns you may have. We have just renovated six of our cottages and we are very proud of our service and cleanliness.

Rock Cottages is NOT Gulf Beach!! It is NOT fair to write a review and Use the WRONG name!! You are defaming Gulf Beach. It is a lovely place with wonderful owners.

The place is like other place but the "people" who owns or/and operate are the worse kind of disgusting among all the people you ever imagine you've met. They are the worse customer service and I think if I were to sing-sing I was treated better. Please authorities take at look at this place and if ever you want to go to a "Horror Hostel" look for this place.

I loved Rock Cttages because it was clean, the service was excellent and I loved the politness of all of the employees. If you want a cheap nice cottage for your vacation, you should stay here!!

When I first discovered the Rock Cottages they were perfect for me...cheap with a kitchen. I stayed there about three times years ago. Two years ago, I stayed there again not knowing they had new owners. The new owners had pulled out all the pots, plates, etc. We adjusted, bought some simple stuff. The next year we went back to the Rock Cottages but found the desk clerk so incredibly rude that we went next doors and paid a little more to stay at A Laughing Horse Lodge...loved it. This year, today, I called the Laughing Horse first and they wanted over $800 for a week stay (only cottage available has some extras). I am cheap...I called the Rock Cottages and they were offering the week for $400. I started thinking out loud going "hmmmmm...no hot plate?...hmmmmmmm" The guy says to me loudly "HMMMMMMMMMM" then hung up just as I was saying "sign me up!" These people are amazingly rude and want nothing to do with you. I called the guy back to let him know that I was taking the room as he hung up on me. But now I decided to stay at A Laughing Horse Lodge for twice the money because they actually care. When I relayed this story to A Laughing Horse Lodge they said that they used to refer people to the Rock Cottages when full, but now they recommend staying away...way too many bad stories.

This place stink. I will never rent here again. The customer service was bad. Everything was so old and smelly. The fridge looks like it was starting to decay. My son accidently put candy on the sheets and the guy made his dad go to the sink and try to clean it off. We already pick up all our trash and even swept the floor. He wanted us cleanup the whole cottage. I paid for three nights but only stay there one night. Who rents hotel and cleanup afterward for the owners. This hotel deserve a quarter of a star. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Management is irrational, angry, and threatening and that is if you ask for any kind of service what-so-ever. Please, stay on the beach if your budget is this tight. No one needs to be treated like this. Someone, please put them out of business!
