Worst beds ever! Hard as a rock and sandy! Dishwasher and garbage disposal was broken. Blinds were broken and rusted out. Will never stay there again! Paid way too much for a place that obviously has not been maintained or updated in at least 10 yrs,
Belles By The Sea is a 1950's property that must have been really
something when it was built. The problem is that this hotel has not
been updated or cleaned since then. After we read a couple of reviews
online, we called for reservations. Take it from us - if there are no
pictures available online or the property doesn't have a website,
don't stay there. I would not advise you stay here. It is a shame
because the property has nice views, along with great possibilities.
It just needs to have lots of $$$ spent on it to make is habitable.
And needs to be truly cleaned from the top to the bottom.
I have stayed at Sea Isle since the 1980s always pleasant and affordable older condomiums in good shape for the closeness to the beach. Just walk down the boardwalk. Walking distance to the main souvenir shops. I have been going to Port A since the 1960s(childhood)
I was looking forward to a wonderful weekend with my sisters and had been chatting several times with the ladies at the hotel & I was very disappointed when we got to the room. The rate should have been about $50.00 and we would have been satisfied but not with all the hype we had been given over the phone. We were suppose to have had a downstairs room (when we got there they claimed there was not) but we found out when we left there was several rooms downstairs. Was told on the phone there would be a sleeper couch, was told when we got there there was only 1 room with a couch/not a sleeper & it was smaller than the one we had. Was told on the phone 5 minute walk to the beach turned out about 15 down a very steep driveway. Uneven steps I missed one taking luggage out to the car the next morning and skinned up my leg & arm pretty bad. She said she was sorry we had such a bad time but never mentioned refunding some money. Oh yes, the hot tub didn't seem very stable either. Yes they were friendly and the beach & area is beautiful. But no I would not recommend it to anyone at the prices we paid. Sharon
What a magical, romantic and unique place to stay! A short walk to the beach, pool & hottub & very friendly owners make this one of the best bargains to stay while in Port Aransas. I can't wait to come back!
Very unique place, Friendly people. I think this is a loveley place to go and spend time if you just bring your spouce or you have the whole family. They allow dogs which is a big plus for me. I have never been woken up by a dog barking or anything like that. Can't wait to go back.
great atmosphere, short walk to beach, funky and unique rooms. if you are tired of cookie cutter motels and "frou frou" decor this is the place for you.
