Sandpiper Condominiums, Port Aransas

My husband and I got married Dec. 29 2004. For our honeymoon my husband said it was all planed, and not to worry about a thing. When we arrived on the island I was so blown away by the ocean and how wonderful it all was. My husband drove down a road for what seemed forever then pulled in the Sandpiper condo's. I looked at him like he was crazy. I asked why we had stopped. He grabbed me and led me inside. Our room was amazing. It was so modern and clean. The veiw was amazing and the bedroom was so comfy and clean. I felt like such a lucky woman and now wife of such a romantic man. He wined and dined me for 3 days on this wonderful island. I will never forget our stay, or how the condo made it feel like a dream. Thanks so much!

The location was good and the view of the beach from the balcony was great. The Sandpiper was clean and very nice. I think having the condo was good if maybe we were actually going to stay more than two nights. We found ourselves staying out more and really just needed a place to lay our heads and shower up, but will consider this place for sure and the same room number or at least a room with a beach view for sure. Loved it overall.

Seven years ago my family stayed here and we have been back every year since! The view is absolutely a wonder and the rooms amazing. There is easy access to the beach and my daughter loves the pool. Makes for a fantastic vacation.

This is our first time to Port A and we were visiting with my parents and my 4yr and 2 yr old girls. This turned out to be the most relaxing vacation thus far. Pros: The condo itself is ideal for a family. It was completely furnished. The kitchen came complete with tools, plates, spoons etc, which was extremely handy. We went prepared with paper plates and cups, but it wasn't necessary. The maid service was great, and they replenished the bathrooms with fresh towels and supplies each day. The view was fantastic. And with the private boardwalk to the beach it was very relaxing to walk to the beach and back to the room any time. Cons: This doesn't count against the condo, but the beach itself wasn't that great. It was filled with seaweed and the sand felt more like mud. But it's a beach, nevertheless, and it wasn't terribly crowded. But I was expecting a much nicer beach. On the whole it was a fun experience, and we would definitely stay at Sandpiper again!

We have been going to the Sandpiper every summer for 25 years. It is the best. Great views. Great service. Well maintained.

Our family frequently vacations in the Aransas Pass/Port-A/North Padre area. We found the Sandpiper after a lucky night at the dog track (cruisin', checking out beach condos), and we've never stayed anywhere else since! We really appreciate its "private" atmosphere, the views, great beachfront, and beautiful furnishings. It's truly a home away from home!

We love the Sandpiper. My daughter loves getting to see a new room every time we visit because they are all decorated differently. One of the best hotels our family has ever stayed in! The beach is great! The staff here are helpful, kind and social. This hotel is truly great! We have 3 kids at ages of 10, 15 and 12 and we have been going here for 5 years and we truly love it! I highly recommend this hotel! It is also very very clean and has a great view!

My husband took me here for my birthday. Absolutely beautiful rooms and price was so afforadable. We are already planning next visit. So relaxing to wake up and have the ocean right there.

We like the fact it's south of town, so away from the crowded beaches. We go every year in the summer for our family reunion and then once or twice in the off-season. The service is outstanding, including the beach crew in the summer; the best we've experienced so we would recommend it to everyone except we don't want it to get too busy. The staff is polite, always available and strive to make it right when things get mucked up, which happens very seldom. Because of our frequent visits, we've been in at least 10 of the units and they are all beautifully decorated. We can't wait to go back in the spring.

Three of my best friends and I spent the weekend here for our 1st Annual Girls Weekend Getaway. We had such a fabulous time! The accomodations were beautiful. The view outside our room (11th floor) was spectacular. In our frenzy to leave on Sunday I left my luggage behind. The staff was so nice. They went out of their way to ship it back to me. I can't wait to go back next year!
