Enchanted Isle Resort, Hollywood

I did like the location of the place. The "renovated hotel to smaller apt" was fine for week stay. My family of 4 stayed at rm 406, two bedroom; 1 bathroom (shower and tub combination) with towels, washcloths, hand towels, smaller soaps, toliet paper, kleenex; kitchen with mini stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils, paper towels, dish and drying cloths; small living space/kitchen table (6)/bar with 2 stools was enough for family. The floors where stone like tile. There were 3 tvs with comcast cable and decent selection of channels. You are right across the street (street is a one way street in between the beachfront bldgs and associated bldgs, no traffic) from beach in bldgs 2, 3, and 4; bldg 1 only one directly on beach., some upstairs rooms can get a beach view. In our "apt" the air would seem not to work as well when it got hot during the day, so keep that in mind. It was not unbearable, but it can be bothersome to some. I would recommend the place to others. If you are rich or have a lot of money and are used to staying at true 5 star places, then do not go here, but if you are considered "middle class or under" and want a clean place but close to beach and you are willing to cook in room or drive out to get your meals then this place is fine. What I mean by this is, if you like clean sheets, rooms, floors, decent beds and you are not expecting the spa, 4 rated dining facilities, doorman, then this place would be great for a week to 2 week stay. Our place would be to close for comfort for more than the 6 allowed accomodation but if you are used to this then that would be fine. I did not go in other bldgs, but they were full of couples and other families, especially timeshare traders. The only real complaint is the very small 1 laundry room with 2 washers and 3 dryers which only 2 worked. Laundry could be done for free but you have to wait to after 5pm because the facility uses it to wash linens and towels. The towels (6 sets) were soft enough and the beach towels are provided for the rooms (6). Pool was small but the kids and adults that wanted to go in pool seemed to enjoy it. The area seemed safe. The Hollywood police were riding there bikes, segways and cars around. The beach is clean and beautiful. The water has its blues, greens colors and is very, very clear. Miami is busy in general and the people around area will walk right out in front of your car while driving so be prepared. Drivers will also cross 3 or 4 lanes of traffic in front of you to get to their exit when they knew it was coming up. If you are from out of state or area, do not go there Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale/ Miami speeding, because they will stop you and you will see others come by you charging 80/90 or more, but if you are not lucky don't try it. We saw a lot of people being stopped for speeding. The stores are all packed like it is Christmas time, so be prepared to wait whether it is the grocery store, mall or Walmart or Target, just be prepared no matter time of night. Sawgrass Mills Outlet great place for shoppers, keep in mind outlet pricing. Aventura Mall was nice. Both places was crowded and took time to find a parking space. Be prepard for some showing of rudeness and no manners from locals. They will cut you off walking or driving. They also will stop in the middle of the road to figure out whatever they are trying to figure out. I did say some not all. You don't have to stay in your room at all, plenty to do. Remember Florida is hot depending on the time of year, be prepared with sunscreen and water. Nice water sports in area. Broadwalk is nice. Plenty of roller blading and bike riding and running/walking in area. GPS is a great thing to have. Ours worked wonderfully. Have a great stay.

I own a week here in July. It is a nice escape and enjoy way more than the hustle and bustle of orlando. private beach, board walk, awesome restaurants, fishing, and close to miami and ft. lauderdale. Love our time share.

We just returned from our first visit to Enchanted Isle a couple days ago. I am an owner and this was our first year using the property. I bought the timeshare on Ebay and paid nearly nothing for it so I wasn't expecting much. Wow! Were we pleasantly surprised!! We had 1 bedroom apartment & absolutely loved the amount of space! Our unit is in Building 2, right next to the pool. My 14 year old son's first question when we got there was about the pool hours. The man told him it was open 24/7! The first thing I thought was, "Oh, great! I'll never get any sleep!" But although the pool is open all night, I never heard a peep out of the late night swimmers. The resort offers 2 gas grills for the owners to use & on Wednesday afternoons they have a hot dog cookout for everyone who wants to attend. The pool was great & my son spent as much of our week in it as he could. The beach is absolutely beautiful!! The intercoastal waterway is also very lovely & less than a half mile from the resort. Overall, the place is wonderful!! Everyone was friendly! I found the Broadwalk to be a little disappointing! I was hoping for some souvenier type shops, etc. But it was mostly restaurants. There were a couple other stores that sold T-shirts & the like but mostly just bars & restaurants. We only went up there once the entire week--maybe we went on the wrong day, idk! If you are looking for non-stop action, this is not the place. But if you want a nice, quiet, relaxing vacation Enchanted Isle definitely delivers!! Also there are a lot of things to do nearby that are relatively inexpensive. We took our 3 teenagers to Dave & Busters. They loved that!! And we went to the Ann Kolb Nature Center. They enjoyed that as well!

If you are looking for a "resort" this is not the place to stay. You'd be better off at the Westin just south of their. The pool was very small and we didn't even hang out by it. The two bedroom apartment was ok after we got over our initail shock. The furniture was beat up and we didn't bother to sit on it. A small couch that was also a bed. One chair and a table to eat at. The microwave was dirty. The dishwasher was dirty inside. The kitchen counter was chipped and the carpet in the bedrooms looked like it had not been cleaned in years. It actually had waves in the carpet. The queen size bed was ok. There were 3 TV's of which two worked, There are no light switches in the bedrooms. You need to get to the table lamps for lights. The swithces and outlets need to be changed. The thermostat was filthy. It looks like a new foloor was put in the livingroom/kitchen room area. The refridgerator was fine, Are first thought when we walked in was "dump". The girl who checked us in and we delt with off and on for the week was, how can I say this?...let's just say "uninterested". There is a "free" laundry on the sight. However, it ca only be used after certain hours One saving grace is "Shirley" who appears to be in charge of cleaning, towels, general room upkeep. She was very nice. Let me do my laundry during business hours, By the way, I spent 20 min cleaning the washer and dryer I was going to use. A lot on sand and grit on and in both. The other girl saw me doing laundry and told me I was doing it at the wrong time. After I advised her Shirley told me to do it now, then it was "no problem." An attitude adjustment for her would be nice. She acted if we were a bother for asking her for a roll of TP at the end of the week. We went out and bouth our own paper towels, TP, and cleaning needs. Once we gave the place a good cleaning it was livable. The loaction cannot be beat. Right on the beach. We walked from our place to the beach in less than 30 seconds. The beach is beautiful. Plenty of beach chairs, A lifeguard shack right there. It's almost like having a private beach. Very nice and clean. The "Broadwalk" is about a 8 minute walk north through a back road. Then it's two miles of typical beach bars and cheesy beach shops. But it's clean, safe, and beautiful. Hollywood police patrol regulary in cars and on bikes. People of all ages are walking the Broadwalk at all hours. We got off it by 10pm. That's when the beach bums and drunks begin staggering around. You can't beat this "resort" for location if you want to have a quiet stay. You are close to everything. A golds gym is 5 miles away and is great. 30 bucks for a week of unlimited workouts. "The Uppperdeck" sports bar was GREAT, as was Mundis Italian resturaunt. Look them up in the phone book. Both are about 15 minutes by car. Oh, the walls in the apartment were flesh colored pink and the tub really needed to be re-caulked. The hot water worked well and the water pressure was good. The AC worked well too. There is a reason they don't put up photos of the rooms on their website.

El hotel es altamente recomendable, solo si ud, va a pasar unos dias de relax y descanso. No es un hotel de lujo, pero puedo asegurarle que estaba muy limpio, la nevera, accesorios de cocina, microondas, etc eran totalmente nuevos. Posee Wifi para los que se necesitan conectar a Internet. La habitacion es muy espaciosa y las habitaciones limpias. No existe olor a humedad. En conclusión es EXCELENTE para disfrutar de unos dias relajados y muy cerca de la playa. Lo recomiendo altamente

Timeshare owners/been there many times. Severely needs renovation, however staff is very friendly. Near broadwalk, beach and shopping. Need more laundry accessibility. Need new furniture

WE JUST CAME BACK FROM THE ENCHANTED ISLE. THE PLACE IS DATED BUT VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL. THERE ARE MANY THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN HOLLYWOOD..(BROADWALK, GOOD RESTAURANTS, ETC.) THAT YOU WOULDN'T BE BORED. WE DEFINATELY WOULD GO BACK.

At first glance not impressive, however once registered the pool is excellent heated and very good place for conversation. The Ocean is so close and a beautiful beach with lounges provided. the broadwalk is close and provides excellent area for jogging, walking, roller blading.

This is an older property in a great location right on the beach. The condo needed renovation and was dirty. The bed frame was broken and we had to put a suitcase under it for support! I would not go back.
