The Keys Lodge And Boat Docks hotel located at mile marker 90.6 with access to Tavernier creek on Islamorada, the non-smoking Keys Lodge And Boat Docks is within walking distance of Florida Keys Dive Center, and the Conch Republic Dive Center.The hotel is also near Tavernier Harbor, fishing, boating, shopping, and many restaurants. Amenities of this Magnuson hotels affiliate include free wireless Internet, two outdoor pools, an on-site restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, and a marina with 700 feet of dock space. Boat and jet ski rentals are also available. There are outdoor grills and a picnic area available for guest enjoyment. Pets are welcome for $15 per night, and boat dockage is $25 per day.

Divers, boaters, and dog owners welcome

I've stayed there twice, having my boat there was great, my dog was welcome. Having the dog and boat are my main reasons for returning there. I'm going there again late summer 09. Location is a bit far to the middle and lower keys by boat, but not bad by car. It's an older place, but clean. Don't expect a HoJo it's not.

A dive motel in more ways than one

The cost of the room was comparable to camping. The place is old, but it was clean. If you're going to the Keys to SCUBA dive, this place is a great value. If you're going for regular vacations then probably not such a good motel. Guest at the motel receive discounted dive trips / rentals. The equipment was in good working order, and the skipper of the dive boats was very knowledgable. Dive were Wonderful! We stayed 5 days and did 8 two tank dives to different reefs / sites on each.

Did not feel safe

This is not for anyone other than a boater or diver. Dirty, uncomfortable and unsafe. Doors have regular keys and no safety bolt or chain. Service was atrocious. This is part of Cay Clubs, which make you believe it will be nice--- it's not!! On checkout, they didn't even offer a receipt, I had to ask for it! YUK! However, if you have a boat, and can put up with the rest, have at it.

We've been there twice and are going again!

We loved the fact we could dock our boat right next to our hotel room. Our pet was welcome there. We dive, and there is an excellent dive trip leaving right from the hotel. The owners were wonderful and even took us lobstering and when we weren't successful, shared theirs with us! We were quite happy with the low cost of our efficency room, too. We enjoyed the pool towards the end of our trip and the upper deck with the hot tub. The continental breakfast was fresh and delish. We don't go to the keys to stay in the room,- we go to fish,dive,eat, and shop. By the way, we enjoyed the restaurant right beside the hotel time and time again and every meal was simply great!

give a little take a little

If you want to stay in the hotel and not enjoy the water then this place is not for you. On the other hand if you have a boat and love to fish or dive you can park it right there and keep an eye on it…. Give a little, take a little I say. Nothing special here so it’s all what you want. If your looking to impress a woman with “THE HOTEL STAY”, stay somewhere else and let her have the 200+ room. It’s all what your looking for.

Horrible Motel Experience

Disliked everything...... The Price per night was extremely high considering it was a very run down hotel. Can you say Roach Motel!!!!! Customer Service left ALOT to be asked for. The floor laminate was lifting in the bathroom. The toilet seat was disgusting (plastic ripping off)! With amenities like this the Motel should be offering free stays rather than charging a ridiculous price.
