Matecumbe Resort, Islamorada

We traveled to Islamorado to do some fishing in May of 2007. We had a 1 bedroom unit right on the water and the breeze and the view was awesome. Downside to it that there are no room darkening shades, just mini blinds and sun is pretty bright in the morning, but it just made us get up and get moving sooner. Can't wait to return. Richard and everyone are pretty awesome people. We had been there the previous year and had a guest room/unit on the north side. A little too far from the water but still nice. Very quiet location.

We love the location. Our apartment was right on the beach, oceanside. We could sit on our gallery and watch the ospreys nest and the pelicans swoop down to feed. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The pool is large and beautiful. The staff was so very friendly and attentive to our every need. And the price is exceptional, for the Keys. We have stayed here on three different occasions, and are looking forward to our next visit.

Right on the Ocean with good fishing even right from the dock. Good boat ramp. Close to every thing good about the Keys. And it is quit even when sun seekers enjoy the pool. Staff were great at restoring the place after the storms last year. Looking to go back this Year again for two weeks.
