not good

We stayed at the bonefish a few nights in September. The price was right so we took it only for that sole reason. I knew what I was in for, but I'm cheap so the steal of a deal for their best room was ok. Generally if it wasn't such low season and we had to pay full price I would NEVER stay here again. This place would have no chance of staying in business if it was anywhere else in the US (not even with a $19.99/night rate).
I have stayed in many places over the years (Europe, Asia and N. America) and I haven't stayed in a worse dump. It was dirty (filthy) and unkept. I don't understand why they don't put in a little bit of elbow grease and clean the place up because it has SO much potential. The sunrise was magnificant, the setting to die for, but it seems that management is waiting for the next hurricane to wipe it away, collect insurance money and mission accomplished.
Everything was very unkept and dirty, the floor is on an angle so you get dizzy just walking around (weird feeling). The AC was so loud (never in my life have I heard such a loud AC), and it was right above my head while sleeping. It sounded like a running DIESEL ENGINE was right above my head. Even with earplugs I had an incredibly hard time sleeping until I turned it the hell off because it was easier to sleep in the Floridian heat! As I didn't want to spend too much money I settled for this, but the whole time I was thinking to myself how bad the management is for neglecting this property that has such potential....If you can tough it out then by all means stay here, but if you need basic or just above basic standards of living then don't.
Management was incredibly friendly and super helpful!
