The best B&B on the Kona side
This is, by far, the best place I have ever stayed while traveling. Angela and Darren were gracious, helpful, informative and professional hosts. 5 stars aren't enough for the quality of this B&B. The room, bedding, bathroom, pool, hottub and kitchen were immaculately clean. They offer a wonderful place to stay for a surprisingly low rate for the Kona side of the Big Island. Also, Angela has a generous wealth of information about Hawaii and has collected a full booklet with activities and information for guests. I was happily surprised by the many little 'extras' they offered us: suntan oil, hairdryer, books, cooking area in the pool house, etc. I've never stayed at a more complete B&B. I don't have a single negative thing to say about Nai'a Aloha Lodge---which, Angela told me, they are changing the name to Big Island Aloha B&B soon.
Also, the location in Captain Cook is great---just a short drive down to Keleakekua Bay where snorkel gear and kayaks can be rented and used. A few restaraunts and grocery stores are nearby. This is a great place to stay to avoid the tourist crush of Kailua-Kona, yet be near enough to drive in and enjoy the shopping and sights.
