Ibis Carlisle, Carlisle

This is a city centre budget chain hotel , it is surrounded by bars , clubs and restaurants. On Friday and Saturday the main road outside is closed to traffic thsi makes the nosie louder from the party goesr in the bars across the road and also makes the hotel difficult to drive to , neither of which are the fault of the hotel. The night I stayed my room was acceptably clean although not spotless I checked in very late so dealt with the Night staff , A very open and friendly scotch guy doing his best to serve food , serve drinks answer the phone , check rooms take up pillowas etc etc all at the same time. Understaffed , noisy outside but value for money and ok if you are realistic about what you get for less than £40 sterling (booked Online non refundable)
