we liked everything about this hotel couldnt fault a single thing this is our second year of being there just arrived home yesterday and already wishing we were back staff are so friendly and the thomas cook entertainers are out of this world we have ended up being great friends would recommend it to any family.

My name is Danielle and I came home from the Paraiso today. I am 14 years old and this was my first holiday abroad with my family and I honestly could not have asked for more. I was self catering so my family and I went out for food to eat or went to the local supermarket called Modelo which wasn't even a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The pool was very big and the rooms were really spacious and big. My room was facing the main road which I prefered because it was better for sleeping at nights because you couldn't hear the noise from the pool. I stayed for 2 weeks and wanted to stay longer because it was absolutely brilliant. I'm thinking about going back next year, I really want to go back so i'll have to see what way things go. There was lots of entertainment on during the day where you got the chance to win yourself a superstar certificate or t-shirt. I honestly do not know why people are giving this hotel bad reviews because I can't even imagine anything which was wrong with this hotel. The hotel was a 15minute walk from the strip and a 20minute walk from the old town. The staff were unbelievably friendly, the staff at reception were very helpful and the bar staff which worked at clube glam and esta noite were really nice. If you were to ask one of the waiters for a photograph they were more than happy to let you take a couple. The thomas cook entertainers worked all day every day to make sure everyone had a really nice time. The younger children's entertainment was from 8-9 then adult games from 9-10 then their main show at 10:15. I want to say a big massive thank you to the waiters Taras, Rafael and Diago for being so friendly and being such good company and easy to talk too. You all deserve a raise ;) I hope to see you all some time soon and I also want to say a massive thank you to the Thomas Cook entertainers, Kazza, Jonny, Lee and Kim for keeping me and my family and friends entertained all day and night, you were absolutely amazing. I didn't dislike anything about this hotel. If you were looking for a holiday never to forget, this is the place to go too. I had the time of my life and I'm never going to forget it!!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

absolutely fantastic.... loved every single minute of it. the proofs in the pudding!! enough said.booked for next year only a day after we came back.so much for the whole family to do. highly recommended.

We have just recently (as in two days ago!) come back from this hotel. It was our first holiday together and we had so much fun. The hotel, staff, area and cleanliness were all superb. The bar staff were among the best I have ever met, there were so friendly, helpful as well as entertaining. The hotel was situated in a very central area, the local mondelo (shopping centre) which had a huge supermarket in it, was within in a 3 minute walk. The strip (where all the lively nightspots are as well as some could shops) was only a short taxi ride or could be accessed easily on the train that went round the island. There was a bus from the hotel to the old town, where the beach is, as well as some excellent shops and bars. We went on an all inclusive basis and the food was of an excellent standard and all tastes were catered for. Although we do not have children i did notice that there were quite a few food options for children. Despite the fact that we went at the very start of the season, there is entertainment on in the bar area every evening. The day we left the children's activities started and we could see from the programme that they had advertised that there was plenty for children to do, as well as the games room situated on the bottom floor. The swimming pool areas both inside and out were cleaned to a very high standard althought it was very weird having to wear a swimming cap in the indoor pool areas apparently this is common in all portugal. We had no problems locating sunbeds, if however all the sunbeds were taken the outdoor pool is situated next to a large grass area that is well maintained so can easily be used to spread a towel out on and relax. There is also a health spa and gym located in the basement of the hotel, that all inclusive guests can use three times a week for free and other guests can use for a very reasonable rate. I can not rate this hotel highly enough and I am very much looking forward to going back there in september. This is a fantastic hotel for kids of all ages and there is lots to see and do, there is trips going to various locations round portugal on a daily basis. I would recommend this hotel and the area over and over again!

This was an amazing hotel complex with so much to do we didn't see our kids (14 & 7) from the time they got up until it was time to eat and then they were gone again. The entertainment was 2nd to none and we've holidayed in a lot of resorts. This one though gets top marks. Everyone was catered for from adults to teenagers to children. There was something for everyone to do. The breakfast buffet was different everyday and always hot. the location was excellent, it was centered between the old town and the strip. The hotel also had free shuttle bus to the old town and the beach a few times a day. Staff were very professional and always helpful. The apartments were huge, very spacious and clean. We are already booked to go back again next yr!!!

I stayed at this hotel at the beginging of september this year. very spacious appartments, very clean, loades of cupboard space in the bedroom, plenty of cooking utilities, not that we done much of that. realy loved the hotel no coplaints at all

9 of us on this holiday,4adults,2teenagers, 3children.hotel was very clean and location was central to beach,strip and old town.the entertainment in the hotel was to us very poor.the bedrooms were spacious though furniture was a bit past its sell by date. to get sun loungers we had to be down for 7.30am anytime after 8am you have no chance.the beds are free, but you have to pay for each lounger mat which is 2euros per bed per day with 9 of us its pretty expensive over the fortnight.the beach is definately something to see.we have been to portugal 4 times now and will go back again just not to paraiso sad to say more like just tipping a 3* definately overrated.

I liked this hotel because it was in the middle of both the old and new so either way was ok,i thought the entertainment round the pool was fantastic especialy for the kids those men and women were singing dancing jumping about in that roaring sun while me and my daughter was in the cool water along with all the other happy familys thats what i call an holiday,i also liked the idea of the sun beds been on the grass it was a nice change better than having to dance your way to the water with burning feet ive told all my friends about this hotel even strangers whom say their goin to vist portugal i say if youve got kids go there i just think that the overal look and facilaties in and around this hotel are great i would even enjoy it here if i was on my own because there is that much to do hairdressing shopping etc give it ago thats what i say.

We have just got back today. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is half way between the old town and the strip. The hotel itself is amazing and we are glad that we chose there to honeymoon. The cleanliness is very good and the maid comes 6 days out of 7. The apartment was a very good size. I would recommend this to anyone. The only draw back was that some days there wasn't enough sun loungers to accommodate all the hotel, but there is a large grass area to lay out your towels.

The food is beautiful and the rooms are spacious,elegant and clean. There is plenty of entertainment for both families and couples. The only drawback is that it is situated on a main road,but it is equal distance between the old town and the new.We are going back again in a couple of weeks.
