Just got back - Fresh review

We were at Puerto De Luna March, 2007. We had a Junior suite. We paid $105 a night including taxes. The place was very convenient for hopping on the bus and going into town, just 5 minutes. The pool was great. Going over to the beach was just 5 minutes and it was very nice. Remember though, this is a 3 star, not a 4 or 5 and it has some draw backs. Having spent the last 15 years vacationing and traveling in Thailand and other Asian countries, I wasinitially shocked at the cost to stay at a 3 star(it really is a 2 star). Since we had our two children, we liked the large rooms and kitchen. Lots of ants, though.
Watch out for the lady who works in the lobby trying to sign you up for tours. She will litterly come out side if she sees you. I told her the first day that we did not want to buy a condo, did not want any tours, that we were down to relax for 5 days. We did rent a car from her for a 1 day trip to San Sebastian(worth it...$55 car/day).
We never used the hotel restaurant. Starbucks and many other good little Mexican places are walking distance in the moring.
Would I go back? I guess if I go again to PVR, I will either go higher up to a 4 or 5 star, or go to a 2 star right downtown. We found one for $50 a night, looked at the room and it was lovely.
