What a place!!!
By ,
This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review of a hotel but following our beautiful and relaxing stay at Pegasus Suites, I felt the need to recommend this marvellous hotel to others. My husband and I spent a long weekend in the hotel and found it idyllic. For a design hotel, the staff and atmosphere are remarkably unpretentious and accommodating. The manager herself took great lengths to direct us to the best sites and beaches of the local area of Santorini (which is lovely in itself), even going as far as to drive us to the nearest boat hire company and organising the best price for us! She also booked a taxi for us, which costs 12-15 euros each way. The hotel staff could not be more helpful - arranging taxis / transfers and they really do go far and beyond their call of duty which is often hard to find these days. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. You can have breakfast in the pool’s area, in your room or outside in your balcony, having in front of you the volcano and the beautiful caldera!!! The location of Pegasus must be mentioned to, as it is the best in the village. The pool and rooms were spacious and bathrooms wonderful and also without fault. All the materials used a first quality and everything is beautifully put together. Overall we had a great time and it's a good base for exploring. We would like to thank them for the great service, interesting design, and very good food. We will definitely return to this place. Finally, if you read this review make sure that you will go to Pegasus Suites one day....you won’t be disappointed!

Pegasus Suites…an earthly paradise!
By ,
What a great hotel! We have stayed twice at Pegasus Suites and we really loved it. From the minute we entered the reception, we felt very well looked after. The room was very nice, roomy, and clean with traditional wall-painting which makes your disposal better and gives to the room more colours. The breakfast is awesome, and the snack bar is really good. The staff was always very helpful and hospitable. The receptionist recommended us many good restaurants, boat tours, museums etc. The view was gorgeous. It was the best sightseeing we’ve ever seen!!! Overlooking the caldera and the volcano makes you to relax. We cannot forget it!!! The hotel is located in the centre of the village, walking distance to almost everything. There are lots of great restaurants and shops around. We will definitely go back to this hotel.

Just as we imagined!
By ,
The Pegasus Hotel location is outstanding, with a perfect view of the caldera. The suites have their own private terrace where you can request your breakfast be served every morning of your stay. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hotel is located around 1/2 mile from the center of town, therefore a bit of walking and climbing up and down stairs is in order. This however was part of the fun and charm of the trip to Santorini. The staff is very pleasant and truly helpful. They definitely cater to their guests.

No way

I had a really bad experience with this Hotel. It is definately not up to par with the truly great residences and hotels on Santorini's caldera. Management/Staff is parochial, the view far less impressive than its site advertises, pool is also substandard, breakfast was extremely poor, far too expensive for what it offers. Room equipment is obviously cheap and its furniture kitsch. Air conditioning was not working properly and staff could care less. What an awfull long weekend I had there.

'Absolutely stunning!'
By ,
Having spent hours trawling through websites like Expedia trying to find the perfect hotel for my first trip to Santorini, my friend and I came across this hotel. Fantastic. I would have been as thrilled with this hotel even if I had paid double what I did. It's fantastic value. I will be coming back again and couldnt recommend it more. Could not have had a more wonderful stay. Fantastic hotel. traditioanal, clean and excellent location. It's on a quiet and fashionable street right in the beginning of village Imerovigli. The area around the hotel had some amazing places to eat. The really friendly and discreet personnel made me feel like home. The room was a double superior which was large. It was extremely comfortable and the modern theme of the hotel continued into the rooms, it had all the amenities you would require, all of which were of a high standard. Service was fantastic, very attentive and polite doormen - Fanouris who showed you to your room at check-in to show you to your room and how everything works and where everything is (we had to apologise for having no change to tip - he said he didn't work on tips and not to worry!). Rooms are serviced twice a day and I have to say it was lovely to arrive back at the hotel in the evening to find your bed turned down, your complimentary bath robe laid out on your bed, and your complimentary slippers placed by it's side. Maybe that's just the lazy me! We'll be going back again (to make up for our cutting our trip short flu experience) and will definitely be staying here again.

Great hotel and excellent service!
By ,
We have just returned from a week long stay at Pegasus Suites as a part of a trip to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel is very comfortable and charming and the views are unbelievable. We stayed in superior studio that was very spacious and with all amenities that one could ask for from a Cliffside hotel. The service was excellent from a very friendly and hard working staff that went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Like other reviewers have written before me the location is ideal as it is very quiet area that is located only about 25 minutes away from the capital of Fira and close to the centre of Imerovigli but not in the middle of it which allows for allot of privacy. They have a very beautiful pool that we thoroughly took advantage of and of course enjoyed the famous Santorini sunset from our terrace with some great local wine. We did receive also excellent suggestions on restaurants, especially on the night of our anniversary that made it even more special, as well as tips about the island and things to do while we were there and since we had many days, we toured the island from one side to other. Our favourite spot other than relaxing on the terrace at Pegasus was the little picturesque port of Ammoudi and the wonderful fish taverns there. I would like to thank all the staff there for making this trip of ours so special and I would not hesitate to return again, hopefully for even more days.

'excellent stay'
By ,
We also stayed in Pegasus suites this past September for 4 nights, part of a seven day stay overall on the island, and I must say that compared to the other hotel that we stayed in up in Oia that I will not mention here and which was more expensive and supposedly 5 star (part of the small exclusive hotels), Pegasus far surpassed the other hotel in service, rooms and every category imaginable. Compared to the other hotel, the room that we stayed in, a honeymoon suite (room 111), was a beautiful room that is well decorated and appointed and with a very private terrace that provided us with awesome sunset views. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and they did go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and keep us happy. We did spend many hours on our terrace and we never had a problem with either room service or with the night service as the maids did come day and night and only when we refused the service they would not go into the room. The breakfast served was continental and never boring as it is not your typical boring continental. Compared to our other experience it was heavenly. I must confess that I never saw spam included in our breakfast rather ham and cheese that was always fresh and not out of a can The location is exceptional and as others have mentioned before, it is very quiet but also within walking distance to Fira and on the opposite end where the village is, there were two great taverns that are well worth to go to and that we frequented quite often. When visiting Santorini I would recommend to anyone to make a point of doing a tour of some sort on the water. The experience is amazing as you really see the enormity of the caldera and also you can take some of the most amazing pictures from the volcano. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and we would love to be able to return one day. A big thank you to all the staff that made our vacation here such a pleasure and to Pegasus for erasing the memories of the first hotel...

Wonderful stay, Great Hotel, Amazing views!
By ,
I was part of three couples that stayed I Pegasus this past September and we had a blast. We were celebrating my 60th birthday and could not have picked a better place to celebrate. We all had booked the same room type and we were fortunate enough to be situated on the same level in adjoining rooms. The view, our service, the rooms were wonderful. We had booked here based on some of the reviews posted and although we did read up on the negative ones we decided to take a chance and were not disappointed at all. Since I had booked in advance and had let them know that I would be celebrating my 60th, I was pleasantly surprised with a cake and a bottle of champagne, proved not to be enough but then again we are all hefty eaters and could not have enough of the Greek food while there either. We ended up doing the walk into Oia from the hotel and saw some of the most amazing scenery and took too many pictures. If you are into hiking make sure you do the walk There are couple of good tavernas in the neighborhood so make you sure you try them while there (Skaris I believe is one of them). We sadly had to depart after 4 days and we will always look back on our great time in Santorini and at Pegasus with fondness. God knows we have lots of photographs to show for it.

Don't take a chance on this hotel!!
By ,
When I read a hotel review I always pray that it is a fair assessment covering all aspects of the stay. Therefore, I endeavour to provide that whenever I write a review so people can have confidence in their decision making process. Pegasus Suites has some very good aspects, but it also has some shocking aspects that I suggest you take into account before booking with them. The positives of the hotel are that it has a beautiful location on the edge of the Santorini caldera. The views from the rooms are breathtaking. The pool at the hotel is very nice also and it has an adequate amount of complimentary comfortable sun beds. The rooms themselves are very clean, but of average comfort. The bathrooms are nice (however there is only a standing shower.no bathtub to soak in). The walk into Fira takes about 20 minutes which is ok. Now, here are the negatives of which the worst will be discussed last. The simple breakfast served is only on a 2 day rotation with some pastries, juice/coffee/tea, some bread with meat and some canned pineapple. There is not a lot of variety. The beds are very simple and quite hard. The pillows are not thick down filled, they are thin and synthetic which was a disappointment. The rooms have satellite TV, but only one channel is English which was not to good if you like a bit of entertainment before going to sleep. The worst thing about this hotel is that they overbook their rooms and when you get there, they may try to force you into staying a night or two in their sister hotel which is not even close to the same standards, nor is it a caldera view. I had read a couple of reviews saying this, but I decided to take a chance and book a superior room with Pegasus Suites for my honeymoon anyway. When we arrived, we were told that there was no room for us and that we could either go to another hotel or stay in their sister hotel free one night, then move back to Pegasus which was an inconvenience. To be fair, they also gave us a free bottle of champagne. However, at the end of the day, what Pegasus doesnt understand is that people that are paying this much for a hotel want their reserved room to be available and dont want major issues like this when arriving for a holiday. We were absolutely appalled that they dont seem to use any kind of booking system which prevents this from happening. To make things worse, we were so worried about them doing this to us that we emailed them 1 week before my arrival to ensure that everything was confirmed and they replied (a person named Leftaris) that everything was. My wife and I felt lied to. In closing, I suggest looking at other caldera hotels (e.g. Sun Rocks) as they all have the same wonderful view and frankly you probably dont want to take chances that Pegasus will screw up your booking. If you read several internet site reviews, you will come across many other travellers who had the same experience. Hope this helps!
