Not Bad If You Don't Mind The....

Checked in week before, stayed in rear on 1st floor-good stay. Returned 11PM the next week for two nights, night clerk spent 15 minutes deciding which room to put me into, I told him it did not matter as long as it was quiet. He put me on the second floor next to the ice machine that ran noisily non stop, vibrating against the room wall. I went down to ask for a second room, was put in room across hall. Unless I could levitate myself off the bed, it was tough to ignore the 20 decibel hum coming from beneath the room and vibrating th entire floor and bed. I called down, holding the phone against the floor, asking him to acknowledge the noise. He came up stating "I can't believe that - what is that?" My point exactly! I was then moved to a 3rd room, it now beling close to midnight. It was quieter, but I was suspicious who might come back for the black socks left lying on the floor, maybe the housekeeper likes to work barefoot? Having initially asked for a wakeup call and again asking for it when I moved to room #2, I failed to remind him to put it in for room #3, so no wakeup call, but no problem, I never really got to sleep. So as long as you don't mind.... yes stay there-the beer in the bar might help.
