Colonial Motel & Spa, Brattleboro

Very nice motel ,the room was clean with no funky smells. the bathroom was perfct plenty of space on the vanity , nice white towels no stains or holes. The kng size bed was awsome clean crisp linens Five pillows not 2 or 3 but 5 ! microwave , coffee pot + fridge were clean and useable unlike the motel down the street! Staff was very friendly and helpful. will definitley stay again!!

Great motel complex with a tavern/restaurant & amazing indoor pool! There are 4 motel room buildings & I believe we stayed in the newest section, closest to the pool. Room was spacious and very clean. Appeared to have been recently painted. Bedding was crisp, clean, and plush & bed was comfy. Large screen TV & nice bathroom. - Were told that the current owners had recently purchased this complex & it appears that they have renovated and/or redecorated. Tavern & pool also well maintained & clean. Will return if in area. ***Great place at reasonable rate! ***

The web site is deceptive - the rooms pictured look nothing like what I got. Small, with the musty smell that another reviewer mentioned. The television was about the size of my laptop, the sink is in the bedroom portion and is an old pedestal type with nowhere to put my toothbrush let alone anything else. The place desperately needs some work. Update the rooms - you can keep a "cozy" feel while at least bringing it into the 20th century, if not the 21st. "Colonial" is a good word - they could advertise "George Washington slept here... yesterday." I suppose you get what you pay for - it's cheap. The people seem nice. It's conveniently located. But I will NOT stay here again.

As a lone business traveler I am often on the road and appreciate the hospitality and personal attention I receive when staying at the Colonial. I very much enjoy the New England charm offered at this motel and the delicious food at their very cozy restaurant The Tavern. On my most recent business visit to Brattleboro, I was tired and needed a good meal and I was happy to once again find the service at the motel and the food at the The Tavern better than I hoped for. The staff at both the restaurant and motel were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed relaxing by the roaring fire at the Tavern while watching the snow falling out the window. It was a very warm and inviting experience. I travel extensively on business throughout the northeast and always try to stay at locally owned and operated businesses. I have always found the Colonial to be a warm and inviting place to stay. I will be back!!

I only had a day pass for the pool. But I liked what I saw it was hard to find the pool from the street but once I found it I was greeted by a freindly staff member at the desk in the pool area who was polite and helpful. Water was clean in both the pool and Hottub the only noise was a toddler screaming and playing in the water it was more cute then bothersome. The water temp in both the hot tub and Pool was perfect as was the temp inside the bulding. The Outdoor hot had a view of the motel and moutains and was beatiful. I want to come back again.

Very Clean, Cozy and comfy, they do have that colonial feel in each room we have been in. Over all, the most cozy yet spacious for the price! Looking forward to staying for 08!

The area was quiet and we were not bothered by the street traffic. The pools and hot tub were great, clean and not too crowded. Even though it was a non-smoking room the room smelled musty or moldy and we found evidence of the previous occupant's smoking materials because the room hadn't been vacumed thoroughly. When we made the reservation the staff was not familiar with what was described on the website and there was confusion about the different types of rooms. We were not given the type of room we requested but we didn't bother to ask for a change. I suppose they would have made the change but again, we were surprised that they made the mistake after we thought we had clarified our request when we made the reservation.

Great place to stay, it's not only clean and comfortable but the staff is helpful, friendly and cheerful.
