Water Gap Country Club, Delaware Water Gap

The entrace was a mess, the lobby was dark. When we went up the stairs to find our room we had to walk through the :Ball Room" and the ceiling in the main room was coming down. The hallway to our rooms was cold and dark. The rooms are very old fashion and cold. There are no phones in the rooms and the WiFi didn't work!!! The restaurant was closed so we had to go out for dinner and the breakfast was not great! When we asked if we could get our rooms changed they told us the other rooms were booked and it turned out no one actually stayed in the other rooms the whole week end! They didn't have any snow tubing tickets like they advertised. Over all the stay and the hotel was horrible!!! We had to stay cus the weekend was booked every place else! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

The grounds are stunning but the same can not be said for the interior of the inn. The guest rooms are bare and tired looking and the restaurant was not open for business for a day and a half of our October, 2007 stay. Front desk explained that there wasn't enough guests to make opening the kitchen worthwhile. Problematic when one arrives by chauffered car expecting a full service hotel as advertised and as promised by the front desk personnel! Can you say hungry! I won't bother staying here unless you're going to play golf and don't care about your accomodations.
