Days Inn Arcata CA, Arcata

This has to be one of the worst hotels we ever stayed in. I would have made a run for it as soon as I saw the room, but unfortunately we arrived too late to cancel our reservations and a find room at another hotel. The crass young girl at the desk was rude and nosey, asking all sorts of extremely personal questions. The room was smelly, run down, and filthy. The walls were so thin, we could hear conversations and TV in the next room. Amazingly, the room was the same price as a clean and nice hotel nearby where we stay the rest of the week. You couldn't pay me to stay in such a disgusting place again.

All I have to say is if you have a family this is not the place for you. As soon as we went into the building to go to our room, we were hit with the overpowering smell of pot. Later we decided to go to the jacuzzi and heated pool for a swim, the pool wasn't heated and their were naked people in the jacuzzi, head to toe naked. The staff wasn't friendly, the ice machines didn't work, so we had to go to the bar for ice. The rooms and halls were very dirty. The dollar tree is cleaner then this place, thats bad. From one parent to another please pay a little extra and don't chose this place.

One of the nicest places to stay in the Arcata area. Friendly and helpfull staff, beautiful Lobby, great food, clean rooms, and the place is well maintained. The heated indoor pool and hot tub made our stay more pleasent since we used them through out our stay. Can't wait to go back.

Horrible room, beds like boards, and Management that could care less about whether you are a happy customer. Don't stay here...it's a waste of hard earned money!
