The room was not clean; there were dead moths in the florescent light fixtures. The internet was intermittent. The front desk clerk was not polite. Last time at this place.

You can do better.

I don't know what the "newly remodeled rooms" was talking about. The carpet was worn, the bed spread was torn and there were broken tiles on the bathroom floor. Perhaps the new shower head (low flow, of course) is what they were referring to. The air conditioner barely kept the room tolerable with the outside temperature in the upper 80's, far from the hottest days I've experienced in Oroville. Waking in the morning to go fishing was easy, the parking lot noise had me up at 5:30 when all the construction workers were heading out. And what a great "continental breakfast" they had, Svenhard's pastries and a pot of coffee. I went to Jan's donuts instead. I was just looking for a cheap place to flop while fishing Lake Oroville and fell for their "newly remodeled" line. There are several reasonably priced rooms in Oroville that I've stayed at and been happy, this one is worth passing on.
