Red Roof Inn Buttonwillow, Buttonwillow

You never know what you will find on the I-5 at midnight. I chose this hotel over the cheaper Motel 6 because it said it had been renovated reciently. I checked in and the young man was very friendly. I got a King business room downstairs. Long story short, the bed was very comfortable, the room itself was quite nice. Everything looked brite and new. It did not have an alarm clock which I found was odd. They claim a "free cooked to order" breakfast. What you get is a coupon for free "oatmeal, pancakes or eggs"(not all 3 you pick 1) at the truck stop down the street. I did not have time for a sit down breakfast + tip so I opted for Mc Donalds across the street. I totally recommmend this place. I mean it's not a luxury resort, its a place to sleep on the long drive on the I-5. It is RIGHT NEXT to the freeway, so ask for a quite room. Mine was next to the pool. I did not hear any freeway noise.

Willow Inn is now Red Roof Inn. All the rooms have been redone they are very clean and they hav a mic. and ref. in the rooms they also have a coffee pot too. All of the workers there work hard and are very nice

We stayed in the 3rd week of June at Willow Inn & Suites and our stay was pretty lousy. We too had problems with getting to the property as the clerk told us to take the Buttonwillow exit but there was no Buttonwillow exit from the way we came. Only the CA 58. When we finally arrived we got a smoking room when I had specifically asked for a non smoking on the reservation. The furniture looked a little old and the bed was kind of hard and I was shocked that I had to pay such a price for such a ridiculously lowly room that I was given. The whole reason I went to the Willow Inn was because I wanted to see what the other motels were like but now I know to stay at the place I usually stay at which is either Motel 6 or the Homeland. I suggest you go to one of them. Super 8 is ok too but Willow Inn just isn't what i am looking for now.
