Perfection
By ,
This was our first time at the St. George Inn but will definitely not be our last. Great room, easy access to the entire historic district. Close to everything. The staff were more than helpful, the continental breakfast superb. You can browse the town, go back to room nap, freshen up and get back to browsing. There was a book in room making suggestions from where to eat, site, seeing, churches, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious! Loved it!!!

The Best Place To Stay In St Augustine
By ,
We spent our honeymoon in St Augustine, and on that trip we met Irving, Barbara, Paul and Lori. That was 7 years ago, and since then we have been coming back to the St George Inn, and would never stay anywhere else. The personal attention that our innkeepers give us, they make us feel like family. Their local expertise keeps helping us find things to see that we haven't seen before, and after all these years we were sure we had seen EVERYTHING!!!!! The location can not be beat. "Our" room, #25, is right next to the City Gates and we sit on our balcony at night and we have a perfect view of the the Castillo and can see the flash of the lighthouse. We love sitting in the dark of the balcony, sipping a glass of wine and listening to the ghost tours that start from under our balcony. There is no other place in St Augustine that we would rather stay at. It is, hands down, the best place in St Augustine at any price. We cannot wait until our next visit.

Awe inspiring!
By ,
My husband surpised me with a weekend getaway and could not believe how friendly and helpful the staff was. Thank you Irving! We also were greeted at the front door and our bags brought to the room. When he opened the door and I first looked at the room (Castiilo suite #43), I was so swept away that I started to cry. The room was unbelievable and when I saw the spiral staircase that just did me in! Then we went upstairs and the bedroom was even better as well as the bathroom. Loved the jacuzzi tub each night (especially after walking so much!) I fell asleep in it on night 2! The location could not be better-1 view was the old saw mill with water trickling down it, the other was St George St facing the old school house and the third was the fort/bay) OH the pictures we have!. The included breakfast was pleasant and we ate outside by the fountain both mornings and drank hot chocolate on our porch at night while we listened to the band at the saw mill. The staff went way above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. The very small details and decorating in the rooms just made everything feel so warm. The pictures on the website do not any justice!!! If you are looking for a place to stay for a romantic getaway this is the place! It was also right in the middle of everything so we actually walked everywhere. We bought the trolley pass but only used it twice in three days. Add a carriage ride to top off the whole romance thing!

On-line doesn't do it justice!
By ,
When I first booked on-line I saw the pictures and thought that it would be a nice "quaint" looking place...WOW! the room was gorgeous. I told the owner that the pictures on the net do not do it justice. When we were showed to our room, there was a noise coming from the airconditioner that was fixed by the time we came back to the room later in the day. Service, location, cleanliness, and the continental breakfast were all a joy. We will be back and tell everyone to try it!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
By ,
We were literally met at our car door by the incredibly friendly staff. Our bags were promptly carried up to our room. We offered a tip (well deserved sinced they'd been lugged up three flights of stairs) only to be told, "Thanks, but please keep your money, and spend it on something you see downtown!...now is there anything else we can do to make your stay more enjoyable?" Anytime we popped into the office we were met with smiles and friendly conversation and a willingness to help in anyway they could. We've stayed here both times we've been to St. Augustine and are looking forward to our next visit. We wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. We stayed in the awesome balcony room overlooking the fort and the water the first time. The second time we just booked a regular room, but found that both rooms were wonderful, but with the balcony room the view is amazing and you can sit out and watch the people walking by on the street below you. The thing is, no matter what room you're in, you can't go wrong here! Gary and Gina definitely give it two thumbs up!

We will go back
By ,
We only spent 1 night at the St. George but had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean, quaint, and good sized. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The Inn is very close to the all the action happening on St. George Street and less than a 5 minute walk to the old Spanish Fort. Because it is close to all that is happening you can hear some street noise, but for us it only added to its charm. If we return to St. Augustine we will definitely go back to the St. George Inn. Great View
By ,
We stayed in the Santa Monica room, 2nd floor. Great view, Great location, convenient to everything. The inn is a cross between a bed & breakfast and regular motel. We highly recommend.
