Coco Palm aims high, but...
Note that Coco Kreole is now part of the bigger Coco Palm Rodney Bay Resort. That's what this review is about.
The setup, with the pool and gardens, is fabulous. So is the basic outline of the spacious rooms/balconies, and the attitude of the staff. 'Service calls' on the first and last days of stay just to check your status are very good, as is the personal 'service manager' allocated to you. And a lovely free Internet PC in lobby; the Service Directory for the rooms is still under reorganisation/reprint, which causes some lack of info to the guests. Ti Banana restaurant has fabulous dinner food, reasonably priced for this area.
However just too many small comments and quirks to recommend it wholeheartedly (though still we might stay there again):
* The bathrooms have a lovely design with big rain shower, but really lack a shower curtain. Both of us managed to cause semi-flooded bathroom floors on a daily basis.
* Ti Banana restaurant has enough B'fast choices (for those where it's not included in the room rate) but a bit all-out-pricing; a 'Continental' option with breads, cereals, some fruits and nothing on the bread but cheap jam is really not worth the 4 stars and neither USD 10.
* The tour offerings are plentiful, but the desk badly organised. One tour went fine; the taxi booking 'disappeared' and a Gros Piton tour led to 4 hours calling by them to the unresponsive operator, after which we booked outside (and the operator only called them in the evening). So recommended to book outside too: walk down the stairs to the restaurant street, turn left and after 200 meters there's the freelance taxi/tour operator desk. Great service and value for money there.
But if they fix these, it's a not-to-beat value for Rodney Bay.
