This hotel was just lovely with awesome views. Great service and food. Wonderful find for a ocean front hotel with ALL the amenities for $70 a night. The only thing is that you're a 15 minute drive to the Cabo night life/ocean, but you can take the bus line that is right in front o f the hotel for $1.25 each way per person. The bus runs till 11pm. Or just wave down a taxi or shuttle. A liquor store is right across of the hotel, so stock up your mini fridge. Wouldn't recommend swiming in the ocean, too many rocks.

I stayed here in April '09 and loved it. Only 40 suites, mid-way between San Jose and Cabo, so very calm and quiet. On the same beach as Hilton and Ventanas at a fraction of the cost. Old hacienda style, so great character, but is greatly improved over my visit just a year ago - new mattresses and linen, phones in the rooms, updated bar and restaurant areas - they've really put some money into raising the quality. Staff is friendly and works hard to please - apparently new back office leadership. Restaurant and bar had good deals - average breakfast for $5, $2 beers, etc. - find THAT in downtown Cabo! Upside is quiet, friendly, clean and comfortable. Free phone calls back to U.S., free computer room, wireless internet, fitness center, and the city bus stops right out front (or rent a car). Downside, it's 10 miles or so into either town. If you can't handle anything but a four star, spa hotel with 24 hour room service and white coated waiters, this may not be for you. But if you prefer to experience more of the flavor of Mexico and enjoy a good value, this is one of the best deals I've found in Cabo yet.

Me and my husband spent 4 nights here, after staying at the Hilton for 3 nights. we thought all the staff was great! true the pool needs a little work, but it is still nice and clean, if your going to Mexico, and want the true Spanish style look, stay here, there are fancy resorts in the USA. The beach was great, the staff was always cleaning. They will also set up dinner right on the beach, not even 15 feet from the ocen, it was great, very romantic. you can get a cab, or catch the bus for $1.50 each way to town, we had no trouble getting on and off the bus, just comunicate. most everyone can speak English. if you are wanting a quite romantic getaway this palce is wonderful. My husband and I stayed there December 06, and when they say it's off the beaten path...believe it. You have to get a rental car!! The hotel was clean, but the restaurant, bar and hot tubs were extremeley poor!!! The food was bad ( I mean bad ) the hot tub was filthy and the bar was less than desirable. Next time I would stay in town more because trust me the buses don't stop!!! We ended up getting a rental car and went exploring. The rooms are clean, but really need to be painted or updated. Next time I will not be so cheap and spend the extra money to stay in a nicer place, you do get what you pay for.
