Description

Located on a quiet street at the corner of St-Louis Square and the Sherbrooke Metro station, this Victorian B&B still boasts original wood floors and woodwork. It has been chosen by a Boston Globe reviewer as his favorite ned and breakfast and classified as a "Four Suns" bed and breakfast (equivalent to four-Star hotels). A ten-minute walk to Montreal's vibrant downtown area and in the heart of the Plateau 's most picturesque area, the beautiful decor, caring staff and five beautifully appointed guest rooms make this a charming accommodation option.

Magnificent!
By Mendes Joao, 6/20/10
We had the most enjoyable stay at Aux Port de la Nuit. Olivia was just magnificent. She is the ultimate hostess. She made sure we had the best breakfast every morning with a personal service that only she can deliver. I am returning to Montreal very soon with my wife and kids and am looking forward to staying at the Aux Port de la Nuit. Thank you Olivia for all the "morabeza". John Mendes

A blessed five days!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/07
The atmosphere in the neighborhood is wonderful, the location is ideal, the amenities are not the best, but certainly sufficient for a very comfortable stay. Olivia is, in and of herself, sufficient to make one's entire stay here a blessing! She is simply one of the most magical, whimsical, graceful human beings I've ever met. I stayed here several months ago on a business trip, but have never forgotten the experience at Aux Portes de la Nuit. I will be returning on my honeymoon with my new wife when we get married! Fantastic Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/10
Olivia pay's a lot ot attention to cleanliness and detail. Our room was comfortable, bright, airy, and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were sumptious and healthy, made fresh daily by our Hostess. A truly exciting, relaxing and enjoyable experience. It's centrally located and most attractions, galleries, restaurants are within a short walking distance. Metro is near by for those who care to not walk I'd highly recommend this B & B!!

Charming B&B
By Victoria, 6/7/06
I loved this little B&B in a great Montreal location. Olivia is a gracious hostess and my rooms were adorable. There is a little bit of street noise and music from St. Louis Square, but that just adds to the charm. The only drawback was the itsy bitsy shower. A tall, average-sized male would have a doozy of a time trying to get his hair shampooed.

Had a wonderful stay
By todd, 8/23/06
My wife and I recently stayed at a boutique hotel on the outskirts of Old Montreal. Reflecting on our trip, I felt that we got more for our money when we stayed at Aux Portes de la Nuit two years ago. The breakfast rivaled our boutique hotel, and the room at was just as comfortable and nicely decorated. Save yourself close to $100 by staying at Aux Portes de la Nuit. Olivia is extremely gracious and accomodating. Breakfast changes every morning - it did not at the boutique hotel where we stayed. This is a tip - if staying at a boutique hotel, get breakfast for the first morning. The next day, find somewhere else.
