How lucky were we to discover this beautifully presented property along Northbourne Avenue , we were welcomed at the door by friendly staff and we felt at home as soon as we stepped inside. Our room was located upstairs , beautifully appointed , cosy and warm opening onto a balcony, lovely an clean. We were impressed with the Dining Room and our friendly hosts who served a delicious breakfast both the scrambled and poached eggs along wth mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon all yummy.We would recommend this establisment to interstate and overseas visitors . Good value for money.

Our problems with the Lodge staff began with their citing a "best rate" that was not only more expensive than other available rooms but higher than the price that the owner had listed in our new travel guide. We were then told that there was no internet available when, in fact, the staff was simply too lazy to find the access code that nobody had bothered to copy down. Nor did the management show any flexibility in easing the 10am Sunday checkout time. This place was definitely the least helpful/friendly of all the places we stayed during our 2+ weeks in Australia.

My boyfriend and I booked a room at the Blue and White lodge for a weekend getaway. When we arrived to check in at 8.30pm (after catching a cab there) we were informed policy states they will not take local residence. We were told we could not have our room and would have to leave. The staff were completely unsympathetic, did not offer any further assistance or advice about where else we could go and did not mention this policy when we made the booking. Personally I find this ridiculous and feel it should be mentioned immediately to stop these instances from occurring. Not to mention we were kicked out, with no transport on a freezing autumn night.

i just absoloutly loved the whole lot but i didn't like going to the toilet because my husband had just had curry. it smelt really bad and there was no spray smelly.
