Economy Inn Lafayette, Lafayette

I have stayed her before but this stay was not pleasant at all. I was ashamed that the owners would rent rooms like this or even that the health dept. would allow it. When I arrived at the motel the sign said $28.00 but the manager tried to charge me $40.00 When questioned about the rate difference the manager said that the sign rate was for the weekly discount and he would charge me the $28.00 rate.I should of known something was up when the sign behind the counter read no refunds or return of money. I thought he was trying to pull a fast one on me,But to my suprise it was true he did pull a fast one on me .When I arrived at my room it was very filthy ,the ceiling tiles were missing or stained ,the carpet was stained , the tub ceramic was rusted and the light fixture did not work properly or not work at all,the wall paper was peeling off the walls,it had a musty smell to it. I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay at The Lafayette Economy Inn. I would not recommend it to anyone.
