Hotel Eurotel Tavira, Louangphrabang

The hotel is great, the staff are just wonderful. The rooms are small but very well done and very comfortable, the bathrooms are ok but the bright orange shower screen is a bit hard on the eyes. The location is perfect. I would say its great value for money.

This is a nicely put-together place just a few steps down the road from the market action. Far enough away for some peace, but close enough to the action. The rooms are comfortable, the staff attentive, and the ambience is relaxing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Luang Prabang is turning into a touristy movie set, so get there now(2006). The people are still sweet. You can miss the river trip to the caves. The prices are high here for SE Asia, especially the airfare, and the hotel, but worth it for the adventure.

My sister-in-law and I loved our stay at the Souvannahphoum, Luang Prabang. The manager Phillipe Cavory, Baw, all the staff on the front desk were just so kind and helpful. The food and beverage manager in the restaurant was excellent as was all the restaurant staff. I'm sorry I can't remember all the names. Our room was beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained by the staff. We will recommend the hotel to everybody we can, the staff were excellent and Phillipe Cavory is obviously an excellent manager. Baw was very good to us, her English was excellent I wish she could come to Australia. With best wishes to all staff at the Souvannahphoum, Rosanna Bartholomew
