great place to stay

If you want to be away from lots of tourists this is a great place. Not right on the major routes, and a mile or so out of town, but a very good location if you are exploring the Northeast Kingdom or wanting to do day trips to Canada. Beautifully situated with a gorgeous view of a large lake, from both downstairs common area windows and guest bedroom windows. Peaceful and quiet. Hostess very nice and flexible; furnishings very attractive and comfortable. Breakfasts quite good.
Not a good choice if you don't like dogs. She has two friendly St. Bernards. Even though the place is very clean it does have dog smell.
She'll be getting kayaks for guest use this spring.Too shallow for swimming I think.
We hit gorgeous foliage this past Columbus Day weekend but the timing of that varies each year.
