Much improved!!
By ,
We have camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds for many years and was very pleased with the upgrades that have been made. The sites have been openned up with the dead trees taken down and leveled up. They have put in new power sources and we had plenty of power to run our camper. There is also new state-of-the-art bath facilities and washer and Dryers. Randy and Heather are great hosts and extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning for many years.

very nice place to camp
By ,
I recently stayed at Cupsuptic campground and i must say that I found it to be very enjoyable. I was there this past summer and the staff that was there were very nice and helpful to whatever I needed. The location was beautiful. The campground is located right on CUpsuptic lake. There are places to put in boats and plenty of places to swim. The bathrooms were very nice and a lot better than some of the ones that I have been in. The owner, I think, Ron was very friendly and helpful. He offered to put a tent plank down for us so we would not be directly on the ground. We declined because that is the whole point of camping. The store had a few gift items. The food there was delicious. They had soft serve ice cream, fried dough on saturdays, breakfest sandwiches in the morning along with muffins and other assorted pastries. Dogs were welcome there which was wonderful to hear. The rates were comparable with the other campgrounds in the area. I read the other review that was on here and I must say I completely disagree with it. I found the staff to be nothing but enjoyable, it is a campground in the middle of the woods for goodness sakes of course there is going to be dirt on the ground. Yes the sites were a little small, however compared to some camp grounds I have been to in the south it was a whole lot better. Ron was telling us that the campground has been there for at least 40 years or longer and because of the paper companies they are not allowed to cut down any trees to make the sites bigger. However, that did not bother us one bit. We were just happy to be in the middle of the woods with good air and a beautiful view.

disaster

very small campsites tightly packed together with no view as per listing. Sites are hacked out of new growth forest and have dirt floor. Very unhelpful unfriendly staff.
