Placid Bay Inn on Lake Placid, Lake Placid

My husband and I have become "regulars", and now have been visiting this establishment for now over 8 years. We feel in love with the Inn on our first trip and keep coming back b/c of the gracious hospitality of the Inn owner and staff. The rooms are meticulously clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We always stay in one of the Kitchenette units b/c of the convenience of morning coffee and meals. We have stayed in other places in Lake Placid, for far more $$$$ and they simply do not have the warm family atmosphere this Inn has. We come up during the summer, I enjoy lounging about on the Adirondack chairs or sitting by the pool reading, while my husband fly fishes out on the lake. You can't beat the peace and breath taking views of Whiteface and the quiet bay of Lake Placid. The grounds, with it's beautiful landscaping and flowers is truly an out of town sanctuary! In our busy life, our Placid trip can't come soon enough each year!
