Will definately go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/27/11
We went the Black Hills Hideaway Bed and Breakfast in September 2011 for our anniversary. I was a little skeptical cause the website hadn't been updated since 1997 and looked a little "iffy" but I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Sedona suite and it was VERY clean and nice. We had our own balcony with private hot tub, fireplace in our room and we had our breakfast delivered to our room every morning. You get plenty at breakfast to keep you FULL all morning and it was delicious. Kathy bent over backwards to make our stay memorable and she did just that. The only thing I would change is to make the breakfast a little more elegant but it was very good. First morning we had ham and cheese omelets, hashbrowns, coffee cake, fresh fruit, toast, juice and coffee....so nothing to complain about for sure. If you have a chance its a GREAT place to stay. This is not a luxurious place by no means but it was very "Home Sweet Home" which is what we were looking for. Thank you Kathy. See you soon!!!!

Don't want to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/19/09
The place was nice enough but when we had to leave 3 days early the owners hid out from us to keep from talking about a refund of the days we did not spend there. We were the only guests during this off season time so we weren't keeping others from getting our room. We will have to go through our credit card company for fight for a refund

What a dissapointment!!!
By shocknasty, 4/15/09
We went here on our honeymoon in mid-July and were extremely dissapointed. The room decor probably hasn't been updated in 30 years! There was no air conditioning which made sleeping nearly impossible. We rented a room with a private hot tub. The hot tub was at least 20 years old, and had only 4 very weak jets. Ned actually waited to put the chemicals in it until after we checked in. Our breakfast consisted of microwave pancakes. I felt like I was completley ripped off. Do yourself a favor and skip the Black Hills Hideway, and find a REAL bed & breakfast that will give you the privacy and pampering you are looking for. Definatley NOT a place for younger couples, not even a tv in the room. Oh, and their "walking trail" is just a gravel road that is far too steep/bumpty to enjoy. This place sucked, and I regret spending 3 days of my honeymoon there. Maybe they should update their webiste to include important things to know, such as NO airconditioning, NO tv, NO privacy.

Great Get-A-Way
By Cat, 2/16/08
This B&B is right on the snowmobile trails, so we could ride right up to the B&B on the sleds. Beautiful view, great rooms and good food. Very clean and well maintained with friendly service.

Don't waste your time or money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/07
I have stayed a several B-N-B's in the past few years, but I would definitely not recommend this one. It is way too high priced for what you get and here are just a few of the reasons why: No Air Conditioning Chincy breakfast at 8:30 at the earliest, not even coffee before 8:00 One mile dirt lane Bugs in the room Multiple restrictions on whirlpool bath so that it is not at all convenient to use No personal TV's (gald I didn't take my WII) 30 stairs to bedrooms (not good for those of us with bad knees) Beleive me I will be asking a lot more questions before shelling out this kind of money again.

What a WONDERFUL place!
By K, 9/28/05
The Black Hills Hideaway B&B is wonderful. It is a great place to be away from it all and yet be right in the middle of it all. My husband and I stayed there on our wedding night and loved it so much that we went back there for our 1st anniversary. Ned and Kathy make you feel like you are at home. We would have loved to go back last year for our 2nd anniversary but things didn't work out. However we do plan on trying to make it there as many years as we can. The breakfasts they serve are delicious as are the snacks that they leave in the dining area. I can't even tell you how great and inviting this place is. It is one of those places that you have to visit for yourself.

Loved it!
By ValerieQ, 9/14/05
The Black Hills Hideaway B&B is a gem nestled in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. The owners, Ned and Kathy, are delightful and accommodating to guests' needs and wants. One instantly gets the feeling they'd bend over backwards to make their guests happy! Our room was amazing. It was large and comfortable, and had its own deck with an awesome view of the surrounding forest. I can't speak for all of the rooms, but ours had a nice sitting area with a fireplace. Because we had such a great room, we spent more time there enjoying what the B&B and the forest surrounding it had to offer. We spent quite a bit on the room, but because we spent so much time there, we definitely felt it was worth every penny. This is a B&B where you can enjoy an afternoon nap after a busy morning of sight-seeing, followed by a walk in the woods, a soak in the jacuzzi tub (or hot tub, depending on the room you rent), and settle down by the fireplace with a good book. Oh, and don't forget sinking into a wonderfully comfortable bed, with lots of pillows! This isn't your average hotel bed! I really can't say enough nice things about Black Hills Hideaway. Go enjoy it for yourself!
