Grand Valley Campground, Dalton

This campground is our favorite. Mark and Joan are friendly and helpful. Their boys are also very helpful. My daughter loves the pool. It is heated with wood and alway warm. We have been camping there many times for the last three years and would go back in a heart beat. Quiet time is enforced and fires are kept low. If you get out of hand Mark will come visit you. Been there done that. Lots of activities going on for kids and adults. Amish country is beautiful and the bakeries in the area are the best.

We camped here with the previous owners and had no problems at all. With the new owners, be prepared to have "big brother" watching at all times. I felt like we were in a prison camp. At 10:30 be prepared to be in bed as there is no noise at all and will be warned if there is music. We were very disappointed with our stay and even left a day early because of it. I would not recommend this site to anyone!

I'm a frequent camper all over Wis. and I would like to say, that Grand Valley is great for the Amish surrounding..the bakery, the plant they sell etc. Mark and Joan see to it that everyone can have there own camping experience by rules for the kids and the quiet time for the adults. I know that I'll be back in the future to stay there again.

I have stayed here several times both prior to and since current owners. Have seen great improvement on cleanliness and increased activities for children and adults since new owners Mark and Joan. They have also made improvements in the appearances and given guest more food selections. Yes, rules are rules but, 10:30 means quiet time not put out your fire and go to bed. Keep your fires small and noise down to allow smaller children to get thier rest. Great to watch amish carts going by throughout the week-end. I would reccommend staying here. I WILL return over and over again. Already have reservations here for 2 more week-ends this year. Thanks to Mark and Joan for all your hard work and time. And thanks to your boys for thier efforts as well. Keep up the good work.
