Inn Victoria, Chester

We stayed at Inn Victoria in February for a romantic getaway ski weekend, and chose it because of the fantastic things we'd heard from friends and on another travel review site. This place is everything and more as described and we had an amazing time. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean and furnished with tasteful period pieces, comfortable beds, fireplace, jacuzzi and discreet modern techology (wi-fi, DVD, CD TV etc..) and not a bit of "chintz" in sight! The breakfast was wonderful, three courses and each one more delicious than the last - we didn't have to eat again till dinner! The innkeepers Jon and Julie are skilled hosts. They are friendly and attentive when you need them, and seem to sense when to give you space and privacy. It's a rare gift. We had lunch at the MoonDog cafe which was great value and dinner at Leslies Tavern which was recommended by the Innkeepers and turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We will certainly return to the Inn Victoria, and can whole heartedly recommend it.
