Inn At Tanglewood Hall, York Harbor

My Husband and I have stayed at The Inn at Tanglewood twice. Once in October 2004...and again in June 2005. We thoroughly enjoyed both stays! The Inn is beautiful, comfortable, cozy and quiet.....an excellent place for a romantic getaway. It's very convenient to both the beach and shopping. Any questions we had about the area were quickly answered by Bill and Bonnie. They gave us dinner recommendations which were fantastic. The breakfasts were delicious....and held us over until dinner! We are anxious to return.

The beautilully decorated rooms, delicious breakfasts, gracious hosts and wonderful area make Tanglewood a "must" place to stay. Bonnie and Bill take the time to make every guest feel special.They take pride in everything they do.We have recommended Tanglewood Hall to our friends and they too have raved about the accommodations and the tremendous treatment they received. It is a terrific place to totally relax! Tanglewood is located in a beautiful spot ,far enough away from the crowds ,yet still very convenient to stores,restaurants and the great beaches.

The Alstroms have the B&B experience down to a science if that's possible. I always felt welcome and the room was cozy and clean. The pictures on the website don't do the surrounding yard justice. The location of this Inn also puts it ahead of all the other Inns in York - close enough to walk to the beach, but far enough away from the crowds! I highly recommend!

Our first visit to Tanglewood was a suprise mini honeymoon that I wanted to give to my husband. This was the begining of a beautiful friendship with the innkeepers Bonnie and Bill. We have never had such a wonderful experience. They made us feel so comfortable in their beautiful home near the sea. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast each morning and the walks on the trail to the ocean were breathtaking. We have been returning to Tanglewood for six years now and each visit is a cherished memory we will never forget.

This relaxing inn was one we found on-line 4 years ago and we've been back many times a year since. The rooms are so comfortable and clean and the inn is a place where we can feel at home and well taken care of by the innkeepers, yet left alone to enjoy our privacy during our long weekend or week long vacation. We highly recommend it and we've not found another inn that we look forward to going back to as much as Tanglewood Hall. The short walk to the ocean is our favorite way to enjoy the Maine coast and take in the soothing sound of the waves.

What a find!Having travelled for business for many years...I found this Inn put more thought into every detail of our stay than many of the 5 star hotels I've stayed at. In addition, the Alstrom's seem to have mastered the knack of making you feel so welcome you don't want to leave and you can't wait to go back!
